The EE braggers thread!!!

Does anyone have an upclose pic of (or a link to) a pea comb? I'm not quite sure I understand what it should look like. I have seen some drawings, but would really like to see an actual pic. Thanks

My boy at 4 or 5 weeks old :) Best closeup of the peacomb I have.

Now to add a little more confusion in to the leg color discussion ~ I have 2 EE's that look like this. They have yellow legs (they are a little washed out in this picture) and both lay blue/green eggs. I think they got their leg & feather coloring from their daddy who was a spangled russian orloff. I don't know what their mother was. I had gotten them as hatching eggs.

I have a question, anyone have their EE's get "feathered" (think 70's era Farrah Faucett) head feathers after a molt??? I have several that have done that here are some pics of what I am talking about

These next pics the girls don't have funny head feathers.

This is noisy cheeks, I don't have many pics of her b/c she is the most neurotic chicken we have I really think she needs a script for Lithium.

I LOVE the retro 'hair-do'!!!! She's got 'head wings'.

Wouldn't chicken keeping be boring if it weren't for all the wonderful, crazy, unexplainable things that they do?

At first I thought I was looking at an Araucana cross. Very nice! EE's and Ameraucanas alike naturally do have some pretty swept back neck feathers that vary in degree from one to the next, I think you're just really lucky there. Wish I had one with a neck that awesome. The only other breed that has traits like that are Orientals, and even with them it does vary. Like this couple - Super neat neck ornaments!

Picture 2 looks like what we used to call a "DA" back in 50's-60's. Elvis had one.
DA stands for Ducks *****. This was before them long hair Beatles came around<g>
When the Beatles showed up on Ed Sullivan their hair was not even longish compared to what came later
