I don't have eggs yet, but here's a try at it. Take a look and see what you think.

Hi All

How are your chickens today?

I have a project Cockerel that is one of those amazing twists of chance. I ordered SG Dorking eggs and was shipped SG Dorking Americauna cross eggs.

This is the Cockerel that hatched:

He has a muff and five toes and a beautiful pea comb!

Look at the beautiful coloring too.

Anyone here close to Woodland CA can have him. Let me know.

My EE roo is almost 6 weeks and he has feathers coming on his feet!!!! right now there are just tiny, tiny tufts of white...I know that EE's are crosses so he must have some sort of feather footed breed in him right? The other all have clean feet...He is exceptionally sweet and will hope right in the door to the house if you let him and he is very large and white compaired to the other chicks of mixed breeds :) he does have the green legs and a pea comb and muffs of an EE hehe.... he is a cutie pie

anyone else with a feather footed EE? I cant wait to see how they will look in another few weeks! I really like feather feet and only my silkies have them...but they are covered in feathers and have been since we got them...so I am guessing that he probably wont have alot of feathering there

My EEs and other 16 week old pullets are losing their tail feathers. Is this normal? They all look healthy and are getting along. Is this a natural molt? ... just the tail feathers?

They are probably losing a little elsewhere too, you just can't notice it like the tail feathers. Should be normal, they go through a juvenile molt at that age, it's happening to my light brahmas right now and one in particular is quite ugly at the moment

Don't worry, they should quit in a month or two! In the meantime, you might check for dirty skin under the feathers to make sure it's not mites, but I betcha it's just a juvenile molt.

I've never had mites on my birds before, so I can't speak from experience, but I read that they can if it's a bad enough case. They can also lose them if they're going through a lot of stress. Thanks! Her name is Chichi :) I need to do an update pic, she's gotten bigger.
