The EE braggers thread!!!

QUESTION: To all the EE experts.....If you have a solid white EE and a solid Black EE what will the babies look like??? But because it's an EE(and you know they have lots of colors in their backgound) so all the coloring combos just go out the window and it's pot luck?
Thanks for any input...

That would depend.... is it Dom white or Rec white? Dom white you will get white chicks with leakage probably black. If they are Rec white... I would think all black. I am not sure if there were a pattern hidden in there what would happen. Give it a go.... and let up know.....

Maybe they'll turn out to be a bit of both.

Here's my Candy. She started out mostly brown. At one point, she was mostly white.. but I think she's settled into black, white, barred/laced. (and a LOVELY bar-lace if I do say so myself

Check out that snowy white beard.
weird angel - makes her look like a baby emu or something...

She apparently decided the white beard just didn't work for her and went to black.

Here's the best pic I was able to get of her comb. It's light pink, a single 'row' of tiny little peas. Sorry it's blurry - my cheap camera doesn't do close-ups. Does show her 'lacing' at the edge of her white collar though. (That's my silver laced wynadotte in the back.... not gonna comment on her lacing....)

I am pretty sure this is a roo.... but he is VERY pretty! I would take him in a heart beat!
Yeah, I know he's a roo. He even proved it today by crowing three times when I let him out of the coop.

I heard the crow and turned around and said "who did that?" and he did it again two more times. It's the black/multi colored one that I don't want to hear a crow from and get an egg instead.

I've got other roos, but this grey EE boy was the first one to do it.

"Who did that?" LOL I am glad to know I'm not the only one who talks to their chickens like they are people!

I have conversations with my chickens everyday Im sure regular people would think Im nuts but chicken people get it. Ive even caught myself talking to the turkeys and think Oh my Im talking to my dinner.

That brings me to a question: I wonder how many people got hatchery EEs that lay blue eggs? Or are hatchery EEs mostly green egg layers? I got 5 pullets from Cackle in March and I'm hoping for blue and green. Don't know what my chances are.

I have 4 EE pullets from Privett Hatchery. Won't know until, hopefully, the end of August!!! I would LOVE to have both blue and green too!!!
