Really Silver? Hmmm I didnt know that. I think someone told me before she was like a silver duckwing or something like that but Im new to chickens so I dont know all the names of colors and such. Thank You.

Silver Duckwing it is, most just shorten it to Silver.

She is such a pretty lady.

Has she started laying yet? I hope my EE girls have some little ones like that when it's time

I really love the EE's cause you can get SO many color options!!! and all of mine are so sweet alittle too sweet sometimes, especially when you have BR's.

Just thought I'd do an update on my girls (and boy)! They are really changing colors, it's amazing how different they look. This is a little pic heavy, but hey, I think the main reason for starting this thread was pictures

The first pics are at about 14 weeks, the seconds are at 19 weeks. (12 and 17 weeks for the unnamed roo)

Oh wow he's a looker. Reminds me of S'mores King S'more!! how does he act? Maybe use that along with his looks & a great name will pop up

Simmonfunnyfarm very pretty birdies. Oh a name will come to you as the rooster grows and his real personality come through. Rocky as in rocky road ice cream, you know chocolate with marshmellows !

Well he's dead last on the pecking order lol. My girls don't like him yet because he is just learning his business and he is not very easy on the ladies...A couple days ago he grabbed poor Chichi and just would not let go even after any hope of getting some action was lost...She finally got free and just stood like a statue behind a tree, feathers all ruffled...I finally went over there and snatched her up and cuddled her for a bit, then she was fine

She's my special girl, very friendly and always sits in my lap when I'm in my lawn chair observing the flock. Can't wait to see what color eggs she lays and I am definitely hatching her eggs next spring! Anyway, little roo is kind of a loner even though he is beautiful He will lie in wait til the dominant roos aren't looking, then try to grab him a lady. Maybe I should call him Stalker lol!

Montgomery. Monty. when he's cool, Gomer when he isn't.... but those dessert colored feathers do prompt me to think of names like Ganache, or Mallomar
