The EE braggers thread!!!

Do you find that your EEs are late to start laying compared to other birds? I have two that are almost but not quite pure-bred Ameracauna. One is about 22 weeks, the other 24. Neither is laying yet. I've just added light to the coop about 10 days ago - it comes on at 4am so they are getting 14 hours a day of light. When do you think I might start getting some eggs?

I have 3 EEs I started at about 20weeks the next at about 22weeks and the last is 34weeks and NOTHING!!! I think each is different and some take much longer than others.

Also my 2 EEs that are laying stopped laying eggs a few weeks ago

I havent seen a blue or green egg in soooo long. I opted to not add supplimental light so I will have to wait patiently for them to start again. But it does make me appreciate my brown egg layers more

I had one start laying at 22 weeks and the other at 31 weeks. Pure

AMs are slower than EEs anyway. It's so hard to wait! But getting those eggs are so worth it!
