The EE braggers thread!!!

What do you do with a splash laced red? Is this one as well? (Henry, my EE roo)

So far his tail is coming in all blue, though?
I am not sure if he is laced, hard to tell, but it looks like he has a little. He is a very light light blue and might would be called a BLUE laced Red. Those hackles almost make me think he has some kind of diluter of red, but it is not diluting in the wing.....

You know, I don't know how anyone can say that ee's are completely accidental in coloring because I see the same color/patternings over and over! The last two roosters, I have one as well! Have either of you hatched babies from yours? I plan to in the spring, I'm dying to know what he'll produce! "fred" has some poor lacing, his sisters are spangled.

wow! nice saddle! No, i haven't hatched from him yet. I got mine this year at the local auction. The original buyers were gonna eat him! He is too pretty for that. So far he's a good boy too! :)

His lacing is the same intensity as lavender, but he's definitely blue. I hope he does dillute, i am more fond of the muted red colors than say RIR's red

Your roo look to be RED laced BLUE and not BLUE laced RED. Very PRETTY, I would keep him too. I am going to put my straight combed BLRW pullet in my EE pen and see what I can get. I have a splash laced Red Roo too, but he has a rose comb, harder to breed that out. I would LOVE to have a roo that looks like some of these pictured.

mine is part buttercup i think, because he has a buttercup comb. Kinda different, i think i like it. Makes him look like he has a crown! Is lacing somewhat dominant? My favorite hen was a rusty red with blue spangles, from some of the different physical things i noticed i am sure she was a little bit orloff, a little bit EE. Her 2 girls i hatched out turned out to be orange and black barred, though. Is pale orange gold? will barring/spangles do ok with a laced?

The roo also has what you guys are calling a red laced blue hen, with lots of penciling (micro dots all over feathers)

oh my gosh, glad you saved him! The EE roos are so beautiful, all of them. I hate the thought of eating them. I'm going to try hatching from mine this spring. I'll come back and hopefully share some babies then.

oops, you are correct! I got mine from a breeder who said he was working "on blue" so I looked up Ameraucana colorings and his blood-brother was correct for blue wheaten. Probably could have shown him. Figures I gave away a show quality bird. LOL! I wonder if any of those good genes will pop out in breeding the one I have.

I love your roo's comb! What a neat combination. Hoping someone else can answer your question about the lacing because I'd like to know as well.

I've shared before but here's Fred's sisters. I'd love it if anyone could give me an idea of what colorations crosses made these birds. Especially Greta, I'd like 1 (or ten) more of her!

Greta shares similar coloring to Fred: She wasn't quite done filling in here, the barring is now gone.

Tilly is ever-evolving. She was a snow white baby, then she got a little red patterning and it spread and spread and just recently she began getting charcoal colored flecks all over her! She's a little on the porky side. (shh.. don't tell her)

I was considering posting pictures of my babies to make sure I am correct on sexing them, but I think posting 19 pictures it just too complicated. LOL! I love your EE's Liz, can't wait till my girls start laying in the spring.
