Hi everyone! I was letting my girls out a few minutes ago to play in the garden, when I realized how pretty my EEs have gotten now that they r older. Despite the fact that they are at that awkward teenage stage (you know the one, big feet, uneven feathers- stray feathers, weird voice cracks, and the whole new pecking order hubbub) They really are the star of the show. Now even though my Speckled Sussex earns the title of Friendliest chicken, my EEs certainly are the prettiest in my flock! I’d like to see pictures, videos, and stories of your EEs and “Americanas!”

I love EEs! I have quite a few (16, I think).

Adorable! (I’d forgotten about this thread)- Aurora looks like a queen to me ;)
You are too sweet. She is a riot I know that. How a hen can be so obsessed with conning treats out of me while still being terrified to be touched is hard to believe. 😆

This is one of my EE’s, Maggie. I had a hunch that she was going to be laying her first egg soon & I was SO excited. When I got home yesterday, I seen something blue laying in the run. She had laid her egg in the run, it apparently looks like it had been pecked at. 😞 But I was still so happy for her & her blue egg! ❤️

This is Chilli, my muffless & beardless EE. She is my favorite girl out of all of them. She was the calmest one as a little chick, hence her name. I have 8 EE chicks that are 5 weeks old inside, that are feathering out BEAUTIFULLY.

these are my Easter Eggers, the red one hasn't layed eggs in a while tho, I was hoping to get some chicks from her this year, but all the chicks where white, so non of them where from her :hmm but I'm getting some fertile eggs next year from a breeder that has more colors than me, already exited for that :D
