Okay, I'm here at school, and there is still NOTHING going on. I set the egg 3 weeks ago Monday, so is day 21 Tuesday or Monday? This is either day 22 or 23... I'm getting nervous. I shined a light up to it this morning and all I see is the dark embryo at the narrow end of the egg - nothing else. Do you think it's dead?

If it is alive and that far along, you should be able to see some movement (kicking legs, etc) when you candle. Do you see anything that indicates life? I would let it go another day or two anyway, unless you are certain it wont hatch. We're pulling for ya!

Is it okay to take it out and candle it this late? It won't hurt it?

Hmm...maybe you can candle it quickly while still in the 'bator some how?

Was the temp a bit low through the incubation??? That can lead to a late hatch. With my eggs, I can't see them when I candle them at this stage--but that is just in my experience.
