"No, I'll be fine. If I could kill, then I think I can carry it." He winked and grabbed the hawk. He lifted it with help from his wings and started flying to camp.
"I still can't believe you killed that thing," she said with a mouthful of fur as they walked into camp.
"I can't believe you let me." He said breathlessly, the hawk was heavier than it looked.
"I can't believe that, either. I was this close to calling you a mouse brained idiot and saying you'd get yourself killed. But I didn't say that," she mewed, smiling mischievously.
He laughed. "It probably wouldn't have stopped me anyway."
"I know it wouldn't," she snorted. "You're more stubborn that a badger."
"Maybe, maybe not." He smiled.
She flicked him with her tail and walked over to a patch of sun, wondering when they would be able to leave, before it was too late.
He set the hawk down and laid beside her. "Need a break?"
"Guess so, yeah. How about you?"
