Hiya! Welcome to the first Diving RP (I think) on BYC!!!
RULES:
No fantasy, you may create a new species of marine wildlife, but don't make it too fancy.
You can't have dolphin pets that have special features, they could have little features that help you tell them from other dolphins, but nothing weird and unrealistic like a "Glittering Red" Dolphin.
You do not have special powers.

STORYLINE:
A man named Simon left college to do some research about diving, But he finds himself entering a big adventure. He finds some friends (you guys), including Oceana, the first person he met on Valka Island. Her grandpa, John Ericson built a hut and a house big enough for a giant party. They dive in various locations, befriending dolphins, helping sick animals, solving underwater myths, and swimming with sharks, they will embark on a dangerous yet wonderful journey to explore and try to find new types of fish.
PLACES:
Valka Island- The place you live on, basically an abandoned island. You can dive around here to see some colorful fish and mostly harmless sharks.
Ciceros Strait- Infested with Great White sharks and the legendary shark Thanatos.
North Coast of Canada- Greenland sharks call this their home, so be careful! There are lots of other fish like Narwhals, Belugas, and Chinook Salmon.
Weddel Sea- No dangerous animals, just beautiful Sea Angels (yes, its a type of marine wildlife) and a whole bunch of other things.
Cortica River- A freshwater river with alot of valuable stuff on the ground, filled with pirahnas, caimans (a type of croc) and electric eels.
Zahhab Region- In the daytime, a beautiful coral filled place filled with fish of many colors, at night, sharks patrol the area waiting for a meal...
Zahhab Region Depths- These depths have amazing fish that glow, with giant squid and sperm whales and octopuses and some dolphins... Basically lots of cool fish can be seen here!
CHARACTERS:
Oceana- A nice woman that loves seals and dolphins. (Telamon)
Simon- A man that is studying marine biology, and already very intelligent about fish. (Telamon)
Hayako- a Japanese woman that has a job as a marine biologist and an aquarium vet. (Telamon)
John Ericson- The grandpa of Oceana, can't dive because of a stroke. (Telamon)
Oswald- The youngest member. He is only eight, but a very good diver. Oswald is an orphan.(NixNoodleNumbat)
Isola- The best swimmer. She was born and raised on a boat and has spent more of her life in the water than on land. She is a good and fast swimmer and can hold her breath for large amounts of time. She knows the ocean and it's creatures well.(NixNoodleNumbat)
PETS:
Splash- a Narwhal with a white scar across its body. (Telamon's pet)
Snorkel- The dog Oceana found and named after it was washed up on an island (Everyone's pet)
Pablo Diablo-Isola's pet dolphin. He enjoys swimming with Isola and helping the team.(NixNoodleNumbat's pet)
BACKPACK:
Multisensor- sends a beam that goes 20 meters, telling if there is anything made of rock, wood, high density, or plastic.
Pulsar- Used to heal sick fish and calm down dangerous animals.
Food- Fish food bag, for feeding fish.
Sea Whistle- Calls your pet to your side, only works in the sea.
Sea Marker- Suspends a certain amount of ink in the water, like setting markers on a GPS.
