~~~The European Freedom Fighters!~~~ A Shifted-Reality Second World-War Role-Play Thread!
Pierre moved over, "Anything I can do to lesson the aggravation," he said in a thick French accent, "I would gladly do, Mademoiselle Hodges."
Therese grinned, "Aller plus loin, vous coureur de jupons." She turned backed to Connie as Pierre, with an expression of shock, moved on. "I didn't tell you my name, actually.. Therese O'Hara. So you're brother's the chatty one? Is it as annoying as I think to be related to Mr. Popular? I mean, seriously, I think that guy was drooling."
Pierre moved over, "Anything I can do to lesson the aggravation," he said in a thick French accent, "I would gladly do, Mademoiselle Hodges."
Therese grinned, "Aller plus loin, vous coureur de jupons." She turned backed to Connie as Pierre, with an expression of shock, moved on. "I didn't tell you my name, actually.. Therese O'Hara. So you're brother's the chatty one? Is it as annoying as I think to be related to Mr. Popular? I mean, seriously, I think that guy was drooling."
Connie briefly looked back over her shoulder at fanboy and, seeing a small wet spot near the top of his shirt, turned back to Therese and said "Yeah, he was; though I'm not sure if he was drooling over me or over my top-ace brother." She adjusted the way she was standing and continued. "As far as me being related to him, it really depends. Sometimes we get so little attention it's almost like we were back home in Norman. Then there are other times when... well... imagine that guy but twice as obsessive and annoying, and add about a hundred of them, guys and girls. But it's not always that bad; sometimes I think to myself 'wow, my older brother is the most highly-skilled Allied fighter pilot still alive. Sure, Ralph Parr is officially the greatest now, but that's only because we've decided to not let either the Allies or the Axis know that Dirk is still alive just yet.' Do you remember early this spring when the Nazis tried to launch a rocket with a recconissance satelite into orbit but the facility was engaged by Allied fighters and a single plane managed to shoot down the rocket as it launched? That attack was led by Wardog squadron and Dirk wasthe one who chased that rocket up through 30,000 feet to shoot it down at the last second." She sighed heavily and said "sometimes I think that this war would end a lot sooner if Dirk could get back into the cockpit of a fighter plane again, but then I remember that it would be too hard to get Dirk back to friendly territory alive, and someone would find out that the people of this town cared for him and hid him, and you know how the Nazis deal with that kind of stuff..."
(If it comes down to a fight, {that is, one without Antoine's absurdly large gun} I think Pierre's going to win.)
(We'll see about that... Round 1, Fight! lol)
(And the winner is…..???
Since this is real time, didn't the attack already happen? How did it go?)
(We'll have to see the results of that fracus when it unfolds... ;)
Actually, this thread isn't in real time. If you look on the front page, you'll see what I wrote in the rules about time passage in-thread. Basically, everything that happens is supposed to take an accurate amount of time to happen, and the thread runs on its own calendar that advances progresses once every 24 in-thread hours. Also, I'm trying to keep 'time skips' to a minimum, as well. Not sure if that made much sense, but maybe think of it this way: this meeting started at ~ 1827 hours local time (or 6:27 pm for non-military-junkies) and the total time elapsed in-thread since then would be about the amount of time it would take a normal person to read through all of the role-playing text starting with that post of mine and ending with my last post. In still other words, its most likely still before 7 pm in thr thread right now, and the attack is going to occur completely after night-fall. I don't know if this is understandable to many other people, but I'm trying to make it easier for others. My brain isn't wired the same as most people's are, so sometimes its hard for me to put things in a way that people other than me can understand them.)
(OK. Sure. I completely understand. Really.
(Cool, lets keep going, shall we?)
Therese laughed, "Considering that it was coming out of both sides of his mouth, I think both. That's pretty crazy. Yeah, I remember. Personally, I don't know if I could handle the attention, so undercover's perfect for me." She sighed, "I still can't believe that this war is actually happening. It seems like yesterday I was back in Boston. Then I think of all the cold, miserable years out here."
"I like how you're making your capabilities known to the rest of us, though I don't think it will have to come down to that tonight," Dirk replied.  "We always tend to keep numberous IED's and Molotov cocktails around for times when we might need them, like this.  We should be able to find a small, relatively open vehicle, most likely a half-track or a light armoured car or something suitable, and have somebody lob a Molotov or two at it from a concealed spot.  Once the vehicle is burning sufficiently and attracting enough of the Germans' attention, we'll have several others run in, grab the Jagdtiger, and quickly get it out of sight."  Dirk looked around the room, then said "Anybody else have anything they want to add or share? Ohh, by the way, I don't think I caught your name," Dirk finnished, pointing to Kenny.
(Although this may not be terribly relavent, it is still military-related and I just wanted to throw it out there for what it's worth.  I just uploaded my first "real" video onto Youtube about an hour ago and I think you guys might want to check it out.  It's the first episode of a Let's Play series that I'm starting for Ace Combat 04 Shattered Skies and a few other games.  I explain it a little better and more in-depth in the video, so I'm just gonna slap the link to the video on here and wait to (hopefully) get some good feedback.
  Here's my main channel as well, just because.  http://www.youtube.com/user/trainbrain13/feed )
