The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

I hope the Shark will last. It feels like a quality iron, substantial, heavier than the last two but more compact. So far, I like it pretty well.

Spend as much time with your sweet Polish girl as you can. I used to do that with Gypsy, though she was pretty spry up until the last couple of days of her life. I knew her days were limited at almost 11 1/2 years old. I miss her so much, I almost think I see her sometimes.

I used to see my "heart" dog after she died. I didn't tell anyone. Until my daughter came back from Germany and a week latER said the same thing.

My new chicks are 8 weeks. I feel like i've had them longer. They are the friendliest chicks i've ever had. 3 BR's love to be handled and 4 Houdans as well. One Houdan insists on being held and cuddled and can be a real pain about it.

Those Barred Rocks are very friendly. If they aren't, something is wrong!

Had my camera in my pocket when I had to go to the barn and snapped a few pics here and there. Alice is acting a bit lethargic. I thought she might not live long after losing her sister, Neela, and she is very slow to stand up in the morning, makes me scoop around her on the floor. Sweet, beautiful Alice, such a feminine face she has.

Hector is so handsome! I love your BR's

He is a big old goober. I love having intelligent roosters. Generally, they are so much less trouble. He's not a lot of trouble now that he's matured, other than when his high energy level gets him in trouble.

I am surprised at how friendly my Houdans are. I guess this last group will be very enjoyable.
I'm glad!
