They postponed his shots until next Tuesday. I went to my Dr appt today. Everything is fine, but I had them do the test for the gene for hemochromatosis since my biological aunt has it-my grandfather is her father. Apparently, her mother was also a carrier since she has the actual disease. I am only a carrier so I got it from my mother, her older sister. I am a carrier, but it doesn't affect me in any way.

Hemochromatosis is an iron disorder in which the body stores too much iron. It's, of course, genetic and the excess iron, if left untreated, can damage joints, organs, and eventually be fatal. Works like most genes, two carriers make someone who actually has the disease. My sons have no kids so the buck stops here, pretty much. The disease is treated by phlebotomy to rid the body of excess iron.

Worked like a dog for days getting this pen up and safe so the brats don't have to be locked in. Tomorrow I make one final check. I just wanna get away for a few days, see my bff, and my sister who had been in a terrible accident and finally out of rehab. It's a surprise.

Not for nothin, but I would have expected my parents to drive up to see her. It was a serious accident. They have no reason not to go. But dad is all about dad like usual. And my mom has to suffer for it . All I can say is that i'm glad i'm going and my parents don't know yet because it's a surprise for my sis and everyone is a blabbermouth.

Maybe sis can go to dinner (with a walker).

I candled eggs under Brandy. Seems that all seven are developing normally at Day 10 today. So, Bash is completely back to normal! He's such an angel. I just love his big blue chest.

I'm here. Been an exhausting summer here with my predator problems, than I got a new puppy which made all my other dogs sick, and than my oldest dog starting having a lot of problems, so I've been dealing with all that. We also put my old donkey down. I've also was struggling with my arm after I had my joint replacement reversed, which caused some grief as well. Things are slowly calming down a bit for now.

I have been following along with everyone. So consider me a creepy peeper in the corner.
