They postponed his shots until next Tuesday. I went to my Dr appt today. Everything is fine, but I had them do the test for the gene for hemochromatosis since my biological aunt has it-my grandfather is her father. Apparently, her mother was also a carrier since she has the actual disease. I am only a carrier so I got it from my mother, her older sister. I am a carrier, but it doesn't affect me in any way.  
  Hemochromatosis is an iron disorder in which the body stores too much iron. It's, of course, genetic and the excess iron, if left untreated, can damage joints, organs, and eventually be fatal. Works like most genes, two carriers make someone who actually has the disease. My sons have no kids so the buck stops here, pretty much.  The disease is treated by phlebotomy to rid the body of excess iron.
