I made one more circular bed around the mock orange bush (an unscented one, darn it). I think the Mexican oregano will grow on the backside and around the bush base and maybe lower-growing ones in the front part that faces the house/driveway. I put a lemon thyme plant in each of the bullet edger beds, but now folks are running out of stuff now that summer is in full swing.

Thanks, Robin. Here is where we are now, just need the actual pavers bought and placed and more M10 to fill in the cracks between them. Obviously, we are still working on cleaning out underneath the deck, so ignore that mess.

And the chicks, first the pair for sale (smallest girl, tallest boy), then Drea/Drew.

Your walkway is looking so nice now. It won't be long before all the plants fill in those areas. Just keep at it, and it won't be long before you have all the pavers in. Country charm.

The walkway looks great! and those chicks are so adorable. I'd guess Drea/Drew is male too, though I'm much less experienced with chickens than you lol. If I lived close on a couple acres where I could have more chickens and a roo I would happily buy them from you. I'm still trying to figure out how to keep all 13 of my girls when I'm only legally supposed to have 10 and our coop is too small, and hubby doesn't want to add to the coop or get rid of any lol. One of these days I'm just going to add to the coop while he's at work if he won't make a decision one way or the other.

It would be better if we could free range them, the coop size wouldn't be as big of a deal. But that's not allowed here.

I agree with Mary, though it's tempting to add on, best to keep your numbers down and the coop the way it is. I have lived in Utah twice, by the way. My younger son was born there. The first time, we lived in Layton and Ogden and 12 years later, we had to go back and lived in Roy, bought a house that time, even.

I was wondering where in Utah you had lived since you had mentioned it before. I'm in Saratoga Springs now, right by Utah Lake. Luckily lots of people in our neighborhood have chickens so I shouldn't have trouble finding a new home for some. I think I know which 3 I will rehome, I've just been avoiding the issue because I don't want to lol.

I completely understand! But, having had a near-terminal case of "chicken math", I've been there. I find that it's always refreshing when you get your numbers down and the coop is not crowded. It's healthier for them and easier to clean.
