The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

At least no lives were lost - Deacon is just stoked to regain some honor - since he seems to be on the losing side. Anger obscured good old chicken sense.

Thankfully, Atlas is unscathed. And I guess Deacon is full of pent-up energy from being caged, which means he is probably getting better, though I did notice that he isn't eating much. This concerns me-I noticed he had trouble picking up the whole kernel corn he loves out of the mix in the bowl. Not sure what's up with that, but he'll have to stay away from any other drama for at least another week and continue to improve before I allow him out on range with Rex. He's not going back with Isaac, no matter what. They need to quit giving me stuff to worry about. This has been a crappy 2014 and the crap just keeps coming. At least, on the upside, Atlas has calmed down to be the good boy I felt he was destined to be.

Deacon needs a lesson in common sense.

I'm glad Atlas isn't dumb as a box of rocks. Atlas is looking fantastic.

Hope Deacon continues to improve, do you think he has trouble eating because his eye sight might be affected? I have one short sighted eye and one long, sometimes I have to close one or the other to focus where I need too, otherwise I sometimes get double vision.

We had a rooster like that got put in his place but was to dumb/stubborn to submit and got the crap beaten out of him and once he was up and running again he was out to fight everything

Look what people do to each other every day on the news, humans are supposed to have functioning brains. Maybe we expect too much from chickens.
