Someone blessed me today! 4 mug mats, a hot pad, and a dish cloth in purple, which is my favorite color. Thank you so much, Cynthia!

You are very welcome, Cheryl. It was sort of a housewarming, plus a thank-you for being such a sweetheart. You moved into that awesome house recently and you have been very supportive and a blessing to me as well. Of course, so have others here on this thread, too. I sent Isaiah a booklet about raising Angus cattle that I found in my dad's old stuff plus, if I remember, a crocheted hot pad/washcloth for his mom. Mary has mug mats, though seems a small gift for big old Hector! And someone else on the thread is getting something tomorrow, hint, hint.
The little stuff I make and send is not a big deal, really, but I want my "regulars" here to know that I appreciate you all so much. You are such kind and generous folks and in this climate, that is no small thing.

Cheryl, you can use those mats on either side, backs like you show, or the fronts, either way, and they can be thrown in the washer and dryer.

My cousin's family had to evacuate their home today. The kids heard the two houses falling down, and it really upset them. About an hour later, rescue workers knocked on their door, and gave them 30 minutes, to pack, load it up, and get out. His sister decided the kids needed to de-stress, so she arranged for them to go to their time-share condo on the beach. They dropped the dog off at his wife's brother's house. Now it's a waiting game to see what happens.

Scary! Sinkholes terrify me. Hope their house will be ok.

Adorable gift, love the colors. I'm one who thinks handmade gifts are the best, because of the time and care put into them.

Oh, I saw that today! That's crazy scary! Sinkholes are like earthquakes when the ground opens, nowhere to hide, not sure how big they'll get. Hopefully, your cousin's family will be okay, but will they ever get to live there again or will they have to leave? Seems like no one would want to live where that had happened.

So far it's 50 ft. deep, and over 250 ft. around, but growing. It all depends on when, and where it stabilizes as to whether his home will be safe to live in. Personally, as soon as the hoopla died out, I would sell.

That makes it sound like my daily life is somehow quite interesting. I'm am definitely no A-list celebrity (geez, doesn't that designation put you off like it does me? A-list, ha!)
