Did you mean to finish that last sentence, Mary? I am still leery of some of the claims, of course, after years of nutritionists saying it was not a good fat to include in the diet. It reminded me of the claims of DE curing everything short of cancer (and maybe some even claimed that). I was going to try it for the birds and for my teeth, but I have no plans to consume it. I can't afford a hyper-caloric fat in my diet at the moment. I'm suspicious of everything, to be honest. I think overuse of anything is not a good thing. But, I will keep an open mind to a degree about things because I'm not sure where all the information is coming from. Big Pharma has been responsible for a lot of misinformation, I believe. You know that my background is in science, and worked in research labs for years. One of the most important aspects of research is relying on rigorously evaluated data. That means evaluating it without preconvictions. Too much of what is said about coconut oil is the kind of hyperpositive speculation that I find suspicious. I have seen too many diet fads come and go to not be concerned about the claims of a new one.
Coconut oil is 100%
ETA: Okay, you fixed it. Thanks for the article, I will read it. And I have a hector problem. Check out his thread.
