The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

And Paula, who is the same age as Tom, almost 4 years older than me, next to a recent picture of me. She must look like her mother, not Wixsom.

June's first daughter, Lynita, who died at 49. She looks more like Paula than I do, but Lynita looked like Wixsom's wife, who would not be related to Paula.

Mine and Lynita's grandmother, Olga, with June.

I think I have been on a rollercoaster and/or have whiplash. Secrets and lies never help anyone, as far as I'm concerned. Now, I have only confirmed what most everyone else in both the Fuller and Wixsom families as well as June's friends thought, but I really rocked poor Paula's world. June was 16 when Paula was born, so she was either pregnant with Lynita, my older sister, or already had her. Dysfunction Junction.

I put the pics of both men on my computer, one on the left, one on the right, and the pic of you in the center. I enlarged the pics so I could see the details of the face. You most resemble Westberry.
In what way do you see it? The cleft chin is my grandfather, Bob Wixsom and June, for sure. The face shape and the ears seem to be my grandfather. I don't really see it in Westberry, though June's friend, Frances, once told me that I had his eyes. Tom found a high school photo of Wade and is going to email it to me so I can save it and show it to you. He looks like a hood out of Grease, LOL.

What is weird about this story is that June was still married to Bobby when she was pregnant with me at 18 years old but her divorce was final in August. Wade was also a married teenager with a son (the Jr that is in CA and in and out of prison that I don't want to know). He did divorced in the spring after I was born, but married another woman, not my mother, had other kids, divorced again and married a 3rd time, possibly the last time. He has two sons and two daughters other than me, with me being slightly younger than Wade Jr. I honestly don't want to have a relationship with the Westberry family, just wanted to know for sure which man was my biological father.

Got another picture for you. Wade, Jr, who is one year older than me, lives in CA and has been in and out of jail constantly. He has blue eyes. I have green. I don't think I look this old, but maybe I'm fooling myself. He looks exactly like Wade Sr's father, Edwin.

I think you favor your mom.

Definitely. We were just in contact with a friend who knew her from six years old until she changed schools as a teen. She said I look very much like June.

Paula has a genetic disorder, hemochromatosis. She said it's not on her mother's side so if she has this, it came from her father. If that was my grandfather, and we're pretty sure it was, them I could have the gene, too, though I've had no signs of it at all. It means your liver holds too much iron. If June had that, plus was a raging alcoholic, she was destined for the liver cancer that was listed on her death certificate.

Wade's oldest daugher, Elizabeth, who lives in VA and is 3 years younger than me. She just married for the second time, I saw on Facebook, but no photos of her at all there. Then, there is a brother, Scott, who also lives in Virginia, or did at one time. I don't know if he has kids. And, then Candice, born in 1971, who lives in Arkansas. I think she has two sons. She has very dark hair, a pretty girl. I think Scott and Candice have the same mother, but not really sure. Wade married three times so hard to say.

Still looking for a photo of my sister, Elizabeth, but here is my much younger sister, Candice. She apparently has two sons, the older one is married (Mason) and I guess a policeman, and has a young son. Don't know the name of the other one. She still lives in Arkansas. See how dark she is? I'm completely the opposite, but then, so is Wade, Jr, who is a year older than me, and I think looks at least ten years older. Drugs and crime will do that to you.

The far left is her DIL, Lindsey, Mason, her husband, other son and grandson. She's a young grandmother at 47, though Tom's sister, Sherry was in her 30's. (Of course, Sherry had her first kid at 14 years old, sheesh)

Finn had another cat fight, wounded in the same place as he was a week ago, but worse. Guess it may have been a fight after all. His legs were shredded plus had several puncture wounds, too. Tom saw this fight, tried to get Finn to come back to him, but he refused and kept pouncing on the cat, same gray cat he fought down the mountain weeks ago but that time, he wasn't at all hurt. He was adamant that this cat leave his territory. This time, he was in much more pain and we decided he needed a vet, took him to one that we used years ago with our dogs, not his usual one. He was just barely healing from the last time! Good grief, cat drama!
The vet said "He is such a good kitty!". Finn just laid there and let the doc examine him and give him an antibiotic shot. He said we got him there at the right time, that the wounds would have festered, already saw some pus coming from one of the puncture wounds. So he has antibiotics to take for the next ten days. Poor Finn. He wants to go out, but we're trying to get him to use a litter box. He's not happy about being corralled at all, but so sweet, as usual. The total for everything was only $76, way less than the vet he's been going to would have charged. Both are good vets and both used to see our dogs, but this one just seems to have more reasonable fees, overall.
We have to do something about that other cat. I've never seen Finn act this way about any other cat. The other cats we were seeing just vanished, probably killed by predators, but this one keeps coming back to fight with Finn.
Here was one leg last night.

In better news, the lady coming to get the two splash Brahma pullets says she'll also take the blue partridge boy with them, the one I'm falling in love with. YES! Please take him before I build him a Rooster Castle.
