Unlike some people, I have been constructive today. I finished a tote bag *and* made a lemon pound cake using 5 of our fresh Brahma eggs. It's cooling so it can be turned out of the pan. Hope she comes out okay! Who likes the crusty edges?? YUM! Haven't made a pound cake in years and this is my best recipe. @Cetawin and @wekivabird both love this cake. View attachment 2177252

I did it more to relax than to actually eat. Tom ate a big piece with ice cold strawberries and bananas topped with whipped cream. I ate a tiny sliver, but I can't eat many baked goods anymore. Doesn't sit well on my stomach. I can't do keto. Used to lose weight on Atkins and before that, Dr. Stillwell, the Atkins precursor guy, back in my 20's and 30's, but after my thyroid malfunctioned, it doesn't even work for me and I hate eating mostly protein anyway. My inclination if I have only protein to eat is just not to eat at all. I start to gag, LOL.

It came out of the pan fine. I opted not to glaze it. Enough sugar, LOL.

My next bag will be a larger version of the last one in rooster fabric. This fabric bears likenesses of Isaac and his sons, Rex and Deacon. It's like someone spied on my barnyard to create it. Their likenesses are circled in the picture.

I do like it. I have a bed runner I made from it as well.
My custom sign finally arrived. Not the seller's fault. It sat at the P.O. of origin in VA, or wasn't re-scanned, for 3 weeks then began to move at last. So, a month later, here it is with the backer board I'm going to attach to the treated stake to display it.

And six Brahmas are out, though one is still in the bator drying and may need a "goo removal bath".

Hopefully, your neighbor will notice the sign. You haven't mentioned anymore problems with the dog, so hopefully they've got it under control.

The chicks are cute. I don't fully de-goo. I do use a dampened paper towel, and wipe off the excess.

Bad hatch, hygros were getting further and further apart in readings, so I had no idea which was correct. Doing another. This time, just using the trays and incubator instructions and not really paying so much attention to those, never did that in the past, but I've had great hatches. This one, only 8 of 20 that were fine on Day 15-16 hatched, abysmal.
This round, I have not only Brahmas, but a few Jane and Maddie eggs. Mary will be happy about that!

speckled, that happens sometimes. It's not always clear why. At least you got 8 cute chicks. Excited to watch the progress on Jane, and Maddie chicks.
