The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

My older son was born in Aurora, CO at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, which of course, is no longer there. My husband attended tech school at Hill Lowry AFB and we left when Michael was just 3 weeks old. I loved the dry cold there. Lots of snow, but never felt that cold to me, even at 0*.
Zero degrees is a nice winter's day here. :)

Don't I know it? Remember, Dayton, Ohio was the worst weather we ever lived in. -25* plus ice plus snow made for a sucky winter. And I had to take kids to school in that every day.

I miss winter. It always seems so nice this time of year.

We got our very first egg ever today!

Thank you! It’s from my leghorn I believe! She’s the only one with any significant comb and wattle development.

I’m going to consider it a belated birthday present because it’s in the same week:D

I feel so bad though because my mom’s boyfriend just left to go camping and he’s been waiting anxiously and now he’s missed it!

The egg is also a respectable 1.5 ounces
