Earthquake hit today. Here in the N. GA mountains we felt the 3.5 that centered in Greenback, TN.. We are near the NC/TN juncture. We were outside doing chicken chores at 9:05 EST. I ran out of the barn to where my husband was sitting on a chair and said, that was no plane or any truck. Then, a fellow YouTube creator up that way posted about it.

Felt it in Asheville too! I surprised at how long it lasted, much longer than other ones I’ve felt. 4.1 Richter per USGS

I live less than 2 hrs from Knoxville, which is north of Greenback for those not familiar with the area. This is probably the strongest one we've had since we moved here 23 years ago. The others were so mild, we either slept through it or just didn't notice it;; there have been a few in that time recorded. This was really loud. My ears were still hearing it a few minutes afterward; it was like it just kept going and going. Makes you feel like an ant, very small and vulnerable.

At first I thought, is that a truck? But then, nope, def not a truck or the biggest one in the world, not a plane, not a sonic boom. And it did go on a long time!
