The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

I avoid mushroom identification, just too tricky for me.
There very likely could be some decaying plant matter in that crevice that doesn't necessarily affect the health of the tree
I hope it's an innocuous mushroom growth. That tree would cost more than others to take down in a controlled manner, but I have a guy I trust to do it, if it comes to that.
 
I'm seeing more mushrooms this year, some at the base of trees that we know aren't in the best shape, but are still strong.

Is it possible to hire someone to take it safely down for you Cynthia?
