The EXTRA Litter - no puppies :(

Very sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to puppy pics as, I am sure, you were as well.

Today's total was $62.00. I am so bummed. She has produced so well in her first 2 litters, however, she has had 2 small mammary tumors for several months. I am not willing to go on any longer with them. It means removing 2 mammary glands, and I am going to spay her at the same time.

I look forward to working with Grace, getting her started in the show ring, finishing Milton's CH title, and I will be puppy shopping over the next few months for a new little girl.

The disappointment is acute and bitter, I am always sad when it is the end of the road for breeding on a girl. *sigh*

I was really hoping that she'd have pups. You do a really good job with them.

So sorry you missed the last hurrah on such a wonderful girl. (and boy)

I have had some hard disappointments in my endeavors too and I know how hard you tried to do everything you could. If she didn't have the mammary tumor maybe you could try again, but the tumors... that changes everything.

Well, onward with your other best options... Keep the photos coming. We all enjoy seeing your beautiful dogs.

Thats so disappointing.. I went through the same with my girl. It would have been her last litter, lots of $ for all the tests, was driving the samples up to MSU every other day... shipped semen from florida for the AI.... nothing...... next cycle, she got pyrometria and had to have emergency surgery to remove everything. That was the end of my breeding program... just too disappointing, considering the money it takes to end up with nothing.
