The Fathers Day Hatch-A-Long!!! The Last Day To Set eggs Is June 3rd!!!!

I wish! You don't know how lucky you are to be able, from the sounds of it, to have a rooster or two. I can't have roosters.

I have one rooster. I didnt want one at first but mine just kind of showed up. Now I LOVE the fertile eggs!

Is it possible to put dick eggs in with chicken/turkey eggs, or is that just asking for a poor hatch rate? I'm dying to set duck eggs. THe one incubator and one hatcher I should be grateful for but dang I need another just for the duck eggs.

I dry incubate both.. at internal pip I drop the temp by 1 degree and raise up the humidity

Oh my I am in trouble now. Everyday I collect the duck eggs and keep them with the hatching eggs so that one day I can incubate them. As they age, I have been making homemade ice cream. The riches yummiest ice cream we have er eaten!!

One of my hens went broody, so I'm putting four out of ten eggs under her. This is the second time this year she's gone broody this year!

And, I just have to ask you about one of them. It is the prettiest BROWN chick! It's a red brown, but more brown! Tiny little baby. I didn't see which egg it came from. Do you have some kind of brown project going on? It's really cool looking. I will have to get a picture of it. Very pretty color. Of course, chicks change in color, so will be interesting to see what it does. Lots of black EE's, but I think two of the puffy cheeked ones are Ameraucanas. Real puffy! Not seeing any green in the legs. They are pretty good sized chicks. Thanks, it was fun seeing what came from them. I think I have the marans sold already, and I know I want to keep a couple of those EE's. One EE has the yellow main color, then a lot of black throughout it..thinking boy! Very pretty!

2 out of 6 shipped marans eggs is pretty good. You'll have to share your hatching tricks on those!!

THe blue Ameraucana boy actually throws 50% black. Sweet boy. ANd the smaller blue eggs, hence a small chick came from my black AMeraucana hen. Sometimes it's hard to know about hidden color genes, Daddy is either my white Amerauca with white legs or my EE rooster. WIth the addition of the real Ameraucana, it's likely to loose the green legs. BLue BOy has slate legs, Snowy has white legs, Blk Am hen has black legs.

You have 2 black copper marans with feathery legs. And all the others are half real Ameraucana with EE as the other parent. I find the EE have puffs and muffs as big as the real Am.
