Ok, so I put 36 eggs in the bator today, barnyard mix, set the temp at 100 deg even,I couldnt find anything to measure the humidity inside the bator But in the room that I have the bator in is measureing right around 55 percent humidity, I added water to the first tray like it said to do but I didint fill it all the way up only half full, so Im wondering now if the humidity is 55 percent in the room with the bator is the humidity to high inside the bator? if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions I would love to hear them, hope my second attempt goes better then my first (only got 2 chicks out of a hatcher full of eggs) all the eggs had fully developed chicks but they all died in the eggs 2 days after they where suppose to hatch and didnt, just dont know what I did wrong unless I didnt have the temp high enough for hatch, anywho I;m trying again!!! wish me luckkk![]()

55% room RH is about perfect for dry hatching if you have a styrofoam type incubator. Yinpu posted good diagrams to use when candling on the days listed for comparison. WHen you look on day 7 you can adjust the humidity to dry faster or lose slower.Ok, so I put 36 eggs in the bator today, barnyard mix, set the temp at 100 deg even,I couldnt find anything to measure the humidity inside the bator But in the room that I have the bator in is measureing right around 55 percent humidity, I added water to the first tray like it said to do but I didint fill it all the way up only half full, so Im wondering now if the humidity is 55 percent in the room with the bator is the humidity to high inside the bator? if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions I would love to hear them, hope my second attempt goes better then my first (only got 2 chicks out of a hatcher full of eggs) all the eggs had fully developed chicks but they all died in the eggs 2 days after they where suppose to hatch and didnt, just dont know what I did wrong unless I didnt have the temp high enough for hatch, anywho I;m trying again!!! wish me luckkk![]()
