Hello!

I'll continue this thread.

Long story short - the flock of 6 is now split up.

First of all, Kiwi, one of the cutest Buff Orpington's that ever lived has passed away. It is very sad.

I got three more chicks and they are living with Blamo who I separated from the flock because they were bullying her and it wouldn't stop no matter what I did. It actually turned into attacking.

I now have 2 flocks of 4.

Wait,wait! What happened to Kiwi?

Poor Kiwi. I don't know. She was perfectly fine, then the next day when I went outside to let the girls out.....I found her dead in the corner. I was heart broken.

She was 1. my best egg layer and 2. my friendliest girl.

Sounds kinda like my Snickers story, although with her, I just found her sick the next day, and she passed away that same day. Snickers was one of my wonderful Buff Orpingtons as well.

Anywho, how's your flock doing?

They are doing good!

Both flocks are a little hot because, well, it's hot! About 85 degrees F.

All of them are laying down in the shade resting with full crops.
