"How valiant." Silvanus laughed, wrapping his jaws around the struggling Henry's neck.
He held on tight, holding him in a in a deathly hug; grinning through the blood.

Frill was off, staying on the ground.
Jester's eyes...... The image flashed repeatedly in her mind, mixing with sorrow, anger and fear.
She would stay on the ground and head for the falls, eventually making her way to Pelendava.
(EVIL Holly! :tongue Yes Quinn.... Join the darkside, it is deliciously fun. Bwuahahhaa.... And Silv needs an apprentice, any volunteers?)

(Bows, what can I say :P)

Henry put up quite a fight for someone in that situation, he never gave up, not even making a sound when he felt Silvs teeth slice through the soft skin at thr back of his neck. He could hear Charlotte sobbing in there tree above them, crying out his name every so often but he didn't feel scared. He wasn't afraid of dying and he had always known that it would happen one day, although he hadn't thought it would have come from another dragon and so close to Pelendava. His breath bubbled around his neck, making a sick gurgling sound that even Charlotte could hear. And then, as his struggles grew weaker and the pool of blood gathering below grew larger, he twisted his neck to look up at Charlotte again. But instead of seeing her trapped in the tree, he seen her hurtling towards them!

The thin membrane of her wing tore when her legs were unable to hold herself up. She let out another scream, both out of pain and terror as she fell towards Silv and Henry. Not sure whether to be horrified or amazed, Henry simply gawked as she cell straight down towards him and Silv.

Jester rose quickly into the sky, going so high that his shape resembled nothing more then a small black dot, hardly visible from the ground. Here in the air he was at home, where he preformed best. If Silv could work magic from the ground, he could do the same from the sky. He tracked Frill as she made her way back to Pelendava. Probably on her way to tattle to Camilla he thought wretchedly. He scanned the terrian ahead of her, looking for the perfect spot. He spied a waterfall not far ahead if her, and she seemed to be heading in that direction based on several factors that he had already calculated. He grinned, now simply waiting. And she thought he didn't belong in Caronia. He'd show her.

He saw Charlotte reflected in the old man's eyes, and he smiled, "Where is your Avalon now, my friend?
Silv pulled his teeth through Henry's flesh and grinned, blood streaming down his face and dripping from his jaws.
He felt so alive, this is what he had missed, this is why he had left his home. The taste, the excitement; his heart was alive again.
Goodbye little one....
With a flick he raised his tail above him, golden death weeping from it's spines.

Frill dived, dived for her life.
She had done it this time, screwed things up good. Her webbed claws propelled her downward quickly as she swam to stone and sand beneath. Fish scattered and the thundering noise of the waterfall deafened, but she didn't slow till she had nestled herself protectively beneath a weed-covered ledge. The border of Avalon wasn't far, although that didn't mean much. Until she was within in Pelendava would she feel safe. She should have reported him months ago.... When he had first arrived. What else had he been doing in Avalon? Just come to see her? Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! She had been so foolish, how could she not have seen this coming? He was Jester, he had always been this way; he had always been bad...
Next move... Next move... What could she possibly do? He could stay out there for longer than she could stay under, he could be anywhere. In the air, on the shore, in the woods.

Charlotte grunted as her wings caught the lower branches of the tree, slowing her free fall to a dead stop in less the a second. Her legs clawed at the bark, fighting to get a hold and prevent herself from falling any further, and raining down small pieces of bark and twigs on Silv. Henry had grown still now, his movements limited to his laboured breathing and the occasional twitch of his limbs. He had never felt so weak, which he blamed on the rapid blood loss. He gave a tired sigh as his legs buckled under Silv's weight, putting flat on his belly. His vision narrowed into black tunnels and he fought to stay concious.

Jester noticed her sudden dive, and was puzzled for a moment, wondering how she could have seen him. Maybe she knew him better then he thought. He angled his wings slightly and put himself in a wide, slow circle. He could wait for days if needed. Unlike most dragons who needed food and water from the ground, he could live for several weeks on tiny particles in the air, fed to his stomach by tiny fins which opened all over his body to direct the air into his body. As long as he was moving, the system worked perfectly. As he waited, his mind began to drift, he kept a very watchful eye on the surrounding area in case she came up where she had gone down, or somewhere different but he didn't have to think about flying anymore. She was probably baiting me, waiting until I trusted her so that she could turn me in. His claws tightened and flexed, making tiny marks in his palms.

Silv grinned, looking down at Henry and patting him on the head, "There's a good boy. You see now, bravery gets you no where, my friend. Whereas if you had run back to Avalon odds are your pathetic people could have mended you, possibly even sent out a patrol and killed me. Your little dragonness was doomed either way, you know that. Look at her....... Oh, right... You probably can't do that, can you? Neck's in a bit of not, eh?" He sat down and snickered, looking up Charlotte, "Your friend makes for a excellent seat, sprite. Lets say you come down and join me in this feast? Perhaps I won't have to make you into dessert."

(Like air plankton!)

She continued to wait.
Eying the surrounding water and watching the surface. She had calmed a bit, she was deep and even if he tried to dive he could reach her before she was out.
That's what she hoped he'd do, dive for her. His dexterous wings would be reduced to clumsy kites down here, bulk sink him down as he tried to swim.
What the *dodeedoodoo* am I doing? It's Jester up there, not the ghost of Silas. For a moment she debated surfacing, but shot the thought down. He belonged to Coronia now, whoever he had become. He was a killer, even if she did.... Even if she had loved him. You can't change the nature of the beast by giving it a hug.

Henry heard Silv, like a little voice at the back of his mind, but didn't bother replying. He needed his strength. Charlotte whimpered, her sobs and moans of distress audible even from the ground. Tears streaked both sides of her face and she couldn't even speak to answer his question, not like she had anything to say anyways. She tried pulling herself up further in the tree, away from Silv but her claws merely scratched more bark off and she slid back down to where she had been before. The pain in her wing burn like fire and she didn't dare look at it for hear of losing her stomach on his head, mind you, that wouldn't have been so bad.

(Very good! *pats gerbs on back*)

Jester circled endlessly, keeping both eyes peeled to the ground so that he wouldn't miss her. He didn't need to follow her into the water, he wasn't that impatient. Half the fun was the wait, especially when the prey knew what was coming. And Frill would know. Maybe he could bring her body right to Pelendava, with some sign that it was him. He wanted Camilla to know what he had done, for her to go crying to Stephan and for the city to see her for the coward she really was. But even before that, his stomach fluttered at the thought, he would make Frill suffer. He would make it so that nobody knew his secret, and nobody underestimated his power ever again. Even Tenebrae couldn't fault him for that.

"Awww." Silv laughed, curling his lips, "Don't be shy now, sprite."
He wrapped his claws around Henry's face, "You wanna see something really cool your friend can do with his eyes?"
With that he looked down and dropped his tone, insanity raining from his crazy eyes like a flood, "Lets show her, ole boy."

She moved along the riverbed, heading under the thundering waterfall.
Just to Avalon. She desperately hoped there was a patrol on duty, although they had been rather lax of late.
Where she once saw her immortality, she saw her bloodied body. This could end up quite badly for her, she knew it.
But again, it was all of her doing and in a way she sorta deserved it. It was not unlike that fable she had heard, the fox and the scorpion? Rat and the spider?
Blah, it didn't matter. She was the dumb mammal and he was the hairy-legged, poisonous bug to which she had given a ride; right into Pelendava.

"Get your claws off me." He growled... or at least tried to around his torn throat. He twisted his head feebly, trying to get Silv's claws off his face. Charlotte didn't want to look, but couldn't help it. Her tears had nearly dried up and she was now heaving dry sobs.

Jester tracked her movement under the falls, and made a mental note of her location. As a former warrior of Pelendava, he knew when the patrols would be coming, and they never ventured this far away from Pelendava. Lazy. He thought, disgusted at them, but glad at the same time. He had lots of time.

"Shhh, shhhhh... It'll be fun. Well, at least for me. You can just feel better knowing that you gave someone a little piece of their heart back. I thank you, sincerely."
Silv said softly, aiming to gouge at Henry's eyes with his thumbs.

It wasn't like he was leaving, she knew him that well.
She came up under the falls, behind them and against the stone cliff. The falls shielded both of their views, a thick white sheet of incredibly loud water.
So this was the end all, she guessed she get to figure out if she was really warrior material or not. Joy.

Henry didn't reply, it wasted too much of his preciois air. He seen Silv's claws heading towards his eyes and paniced, twisting his head harder then before even thought it was more painful. Charlotte opened her mouth to scream but nothing came out.

Jester waited, anticipating the kill. She would come out eventually, thinking she could outsmart him. Oh how wrong she was.
