The Fricken Chicken story!

I think my dogs need on a diet.... Take that back, they need exercise! I used to take them hiking with me, with the kids it is tough. Now, even though my smallest dog is 70lbs. I worry about running into coyotes. I'm sure they could handle one.. not an entire pack though.

I think I would agree with the exercise part. I can say this because I need exercise.😉 Could you take the kids and the dogs on a walk in the flat or is everything mountains?

He may be a royal prick, but I still love him!

He is going to be quite the looker once he matures. I just wish he would pair up with the bantam girls in my main flock. Nope... he rather stay in the run and pace the fence looking for his hatchmate buddies. He isn't allowed with the silkie group anymore, he is about the age to start being hormonal 😆😆

Also a real looker. 🥰

Stryker, is fidgety. If I tie him, he unties himself. I asked him to stand, so I can pick his hooves, he stands but insist on playing with the gate 🤦‍♀️ mean while I'm being stalked by 5 MF 🐓...

This one I call Skeletor. He is a mighty prick. Flogs me the whole time, I'm messing with my horse. He is like trying to shoe a fly. Might leave for a minute, then shuffles his feathery butt back over for round 2... why do most bantams roosters have little man syndrome? 😆 🤣

This weekend was a very strange one indeed. My internet has been flaky from the high winds we been having. Well Friday my mom called me said she couldn't find Rori. So I stopped what I was doing (in the middle of making lemon bars), to go look for my beloved gal. I knew where she probably was, she was at grandmas. Where she always goes. Well I grabbed her and carried her back down the field to the run. Meanwhile she is shaking, I make it to the fence and realize why, she was hidden. The giant pesky hawk had one of my moms young pullets.... so I get Rori safe back to the run, and headed home.
Saturday.. I'm piddling in my coop, turn around to Rori standing behind me. She looking at me like, "Hey, I've been here before? Where is my treats?" So before Falkor showed up with the flock, I again carried her back home. My mom has one little tiny black silkie hen, with a cute pink face. She has been so afraid she is going to get ate. So she made me take her to integrate into my silkie pen. Which actually was pretty simple. Everyone is young, except to 2 rooster and the laying age hen. So integration was simple and quick. The blue rooster decided she is his, I think I'm going to call the blue boy LB, for little blue.
