The Fricken Chicken story!

Pics
I just love these little seabright crosses! They just look so proud. I love how they are all different too! Hoping the seabright with the beard is a pullet, time will tell. My 3 silkie I hatched, one is a frizzle, one is a regular silkie and the last one isn't a silkie. Me and the breeder think its a sultan! She has a flock of five sultans too. I call it Pinky Malinky 😂😂View attachment 2327555
My bearded seabright cross, is feathering in like Woman.

They look so small here! BTW the producers pride brooder/heater has been excellent so far! I do however have the heat lamp on but not a source of heat. It just helps keep my temps up a little in my brooder. My brooder I built. Has been a god send for keeping shavings in!

That brooder was creative right from the start. I am super glad that the heater is working out well. I knew it would. I like the idea of supplemental heat from the heat lamp. The name Pinky Malinky is so much fun! I sure hope that it is a young lady!

Do you give them a piece of sod to dig at? I try to introduce "wild" bacteria pretty early and will dig up some grass from the yard and give it to them to scratch and peck at. They love it.

Yes but I haven't yet with them! I actually planned on putting them outside for an hr or so today since its nice out.

That is my grown, standard flock. They are all special, in their own ways. I can't wait for my only chick from Rori and Falkor to grow out. Im crossing my fingers for another pullet.
Cassin
Cassin got the name, from the Cassin Auklet bird. Come on Cassin be a pullet! I giggle over them white brows! :lau

Polish are a lot of fun. I love mine. She is my little shadow and follows me everywhere.

Pooped chickens are just lovely. It's great when they have had a full day and need to rest for a while. 🥰
