The Front Porch Swing

Ah I hate cramps. I got terrible PMS as a young thing used to pass out in class. My dad used to feed me chamomile tea. I can't drink that anymore with the association.

I love the bantams, but won't keep them. My RC Brown Leghorns are as small as I go. The bantams require I build separate housing, and enclosed pens, and.... But gosh, some of them are elegantly beautiful!

But my birds must all be able to free-range together. So no bantams for me. I'll live vicariously through you!

Ah, but you should consider Olandsk Dwarfs! They are awesome free-rangers and do great mixed in with my large fowl. They are very vigilant and are the first ones to give warning about predators to the flock. They are extremely quick and agile, and they fly very well. All that in a tiny toy-sized, beautiful bird that is also very friendly. Did I mention that even though the eggs are small, the hens lay nearly every day? :D

Nope. Can't . Flying birds that leave the pasture are likely to become toys for Levi. We've discovered he has a much higher prey drive than the mastiffs do. Everybody must stay in their designated pasture! Plus, my egg customers want big eggs.

I refuse to be enabled into adorable tiny birds. Refuse. So, there!
