The Front Porch Swing

I have to go back and look at pics, but I think you are talkin about one of the older, more correct colored roos, right?

yes

ummm...playing!

well of course, we were working in the barn a couple of weeks ago and I told the kids to go play outside instead of working and they looked at me for a minute thinking its raining, and then took off.

One cloudy day we were at our townhouse pool (many moons ago) and it started to rain. They told us all we needed to leave. We only lived a couple of blocks from the pool so started to walk home. It was a brief, but heavy, shower that left puddles along the road home. My daughter ran ahead of me and Adam, our son that has Down Syndrome. As we walked, it dawned on me that he would never "take it upon himself" to splash in rain puddles, as I, and countless other children had done when faced with opportunity. I started to walk into the puddles and stomp my feet and he got an astonished look on his face and joined me. We took a long time getting home because we hit every single puddle between the pool and home. My daughter (three years older than Adam) came back to see what was keeping us. She joined the fun and I must say it is a favorite "rain memory" of mine.

Rain is over, but it cooled things down nicely....stupid birds were out there playing in it.

hubbies get better at catching us...especially after years of practice! lol! yuck water is nasty, but no where near my garden (what little I have this year) and I aint about to try and carry it! The brooder cages pans gets dumped in there though. I should get a pic of the Zucchini, straight neck yellow squash. and tomato plants I planted about a month ago...they have went nuts!
Yup it's dry again! And hot, muggy, humid and stinky. A good soft and gentle rain is ordered. Please fill ASAP! I'll leave feedback too!

Dh call it duckpinics! Second only to fish poo for plant happiness
Ooooohhhhhh I would love a little of that rain! It's clouding up, but still hot as blazes here.

Yes I think hubby finially caught me in a blooper. Usually it's me catching him!

Our yuck water is so gross every morning, but the pools are in the gardens. Best way to fertilize if you ask me.

I like that...sometimes, you just have to show them, how fun the littlest, silliest things can be

Thanks for all the info on the Rhodebars.. Decisions, decisions, if I had space for a couple more pens, then it wouldn't be a dilemna at all, there are soo many beautiful birds!!
oh and dalooras...my Wheaten was almost 7 months before she laid her first.
Yes, I have read 7-9 months for POL, and since mine will be that age in the dead of winter, well, probably closer to 9 months <<<sigh>>> Oh well, they say it's worth the wait!
That's so funny. My husband can not find mustard. Every time we went to the store he'd buy more because he swore we were out. So one day I emptied the pantry and the refrigerator of the 14 jars of mustard and said,"SEE! DO YOU SEE? WE HAVE MUSTARD! STOP BUYING MUSTARD!" (and yes, It was all in caps) Then.... one day, we ran out of mustard. I felt horrible.

Holy cow you guys are FUNNY!! Even funnier that it sounds a lot like my house!! I like things to be orderly, but that went out the window in a hurry after baby #3, especially with a DH who is kind of cluttery... ah well... I know someday I will probably miss it, pretty much every older person I have taken care of tells me to enjoy it while I can, because the time doesn't come back...
