Hi Laurie!

I need to get a picture of the very pretty girl I hatched from your Icelandic eggs. I now have 4 pullets and no roos.

But I don't think I am going to keep them. They are a bit small for me.

If you do decide to sell them, I would be interested in seeing pics and possibly buying them. We've just started with our first flock and I would like to add some more pullets of different colors.

We are in west central Ohio so hopefully not too far away. Feel free to PM me if this interests you. Thanks!

Hey everyone, just found this thread! How is everyone doing?
want opinions. I'm looking at a trio of bantam black orps(English), A quad of chocolate bantam wyandottes, and 10 one week old BLRW chicks straight run, directly from Foleys. Traded for $130 plus a trio of SQ snowy calls. The wyandottes are direct foley breeding.

I would take it! english orps are always sought after, A quad of the choc wyandottes can't be found anywhere right now, and everyone is still interested in blrw- one of our best sellers on our farm- the locals love the colors.

I know...the weather has gotten so nice here the last day or so. Humididty went away, light breeze, temps down. So REFRESHING!!!!!!! Wish I wasn't so busy so I could go out and enjoy it! I took on some side CAD work to help pay for more net fencing and have to sit in front of the computer to do it

bit it is fun a fun job at least. (Brewpub that they want to build up on lake Champlain)

So far so good on the net fencing keeping out the fox!

but it is going right across our driveway so I need to rig up an easier gate with a way of opening it without getting shocked.

We've had no losses for 4 days! (knock wood)

Great idea on the fox trap- I have baited with live chicks before (I know.. GASP..it was loose more adults or sacrifice the chick) but I had never thought to use a second cage to put them in.

I'm more than likely getting then tomorrow night! I'm so happy. The quad of chocolate wyandottes are only 8-10 weeks old and so is the trio of orps. He's even bringing them to me, only because he has rabbits he bought near me but still saves me a trip! Can't wait.

Well, it was nice for a couple of days to have cooler weather and no rain except during the night. Today another deluge. Water table in the Carolinas has got to be approaching, oh, say the root zone of carrots? At least no local road or bridge washouts. No hillsides slithering down onto towns. Red clay is definitely handy in times like these. It'll be a long while before we're in risk of drought in these parts.
