Hi everyone.
If anyone is still owed a swap from me (from any thread) please send me an email at [email protected]. These are my swaps only-Rachael will have to take care of hers. I will have to send Paypal to cover them. I will only be able to do a little each week, but be patient and I will take care of them as soon as i can. I have no more chickens, ducks, or geese. I am finished with poultry. I have no heart to get started again, let alone the money to start over. I am sorry. Thanks for being my friends, I'll miss you.
Heather, I will be praying for you and your family.
We will be here if you ever decide to start again with poultry. It is always amazing to me how close we can feel to people we have never met in person, but have "known" for years.
Hi everyone!! Hope you don't mind if I stop by and say hi, I can't seem to keep up with anything these days!! DH is working out of town and until a month ago I was still working full then part-time to pay the bills till his pay made up the difference... I am still exhausted from it all!!

So sorry to hear that Heather, but honestly, I can't believe how you've been able to do everything so far anyway!! I feel overwhelmed often with my 3 kiddos, I can't imagine with six!! I have nothing but respect and admiration for you=) Those pics of Logan are sooooo cute!!

So well said, I agree!!
As far as birds go, I had to reduce my flock quite a bit, too and have settled on Wheaten Marans as my main project right now... Wow, they are pretty birds but challenging to hatch and will take some work to get them where I want them, at least I started with good stock!!
I do have a question for those of you who might know... (Heather included if you see this!) One of my CCL pullets that I kept for olive eggers is laying a creamy white egg.... I don't know enough about their genetics to know... do you think I can use her for olive egger chicks, or would it be best to put her in my layer pen? (She is laying quite regularly)
Heather, please do drop in to visit. We would all miss you if not. If you ever get to the point where things are not as hectic and you want a few birds for the enjoyment of it (not an extra job lol) I would be happy to send you chicks or eggs from whatever I have. I do understand how it gets out of hand. I spend way more time than I ever anticipated caring for my flock.
Hey everyone! Long time no see! Heather, I hope you are doing well! Sorry that you've had to let go of the chickens, but kids take precedence over birds.
