Oh she looks like a silver appleyard.. What's she? Where did you get her? We love our ducks.. Getting a few more..
She is a silver welsh harlequin. And she needed rehoming. I love ours too. We also have a Pekin and a black Swedish!

I think Clover is adorable, gimpy foot/leg, raggedy feathers and all! Perfect name, too.....
We've missed your smiling little face too, Lindz! You ain't kidding about this thread moving fast - sometimes when I'm out and about I'll do a quick skim, but by the time I got home I can't find a post I meant to comment on.![]()
Guilty here too!
It's dreary here too this morning, but supposed to clear up by mid-morning and then get a little hot again. Last evening was glorious. There was just enough of a breeze to keep the bugs down, and I can't remember the last time I saw so many colors in one sunset - it was like a rainbow! We still have a little smoke in the air from the wildfires in Canada - not enough to really notice but enough to make sunrises and sunsets stunning!
I have some exciting news too! Yesterday Katie was sitting on my couch eating an apple. (I know, I know - eating in the living room. But it's Gramma's house, after all, so Gramma rules apply) Kendra was sitting on Jenny's lap at the kitchen table while we visited. After she finished her piece of apple she got squirmy so I took her and carried her into the living room. Instead of sitting like she normally does when I put her down, her legs stayed out stiff so I stood her up instead. I held only one of her hands so I could help her if she decided to sit. She spotted Katie's apple and took the two steps to the couch, holding only one of my hands! This is HUGE!!! I called Jenny and Tammy in and set it up again. She did it again, too! Tam actually started crying! Now we have all the rest of this week and part of next until Wednesday to practice this new skill, and when Cindi (her physical therapist) sees this she's gonna flip out!
If any of you are in communication with she-who-resides-solidly-in-our-hearts-but-must-temporarily-remain-nameless would you tell her that I miss her wise words!! Been thinking about her a lot the last couple of days. Thanks!
Ditto on that. I'm going back and rereading old posts from the good threads. Things that I might have missed the first time. Like the old timers thread that was closed. I only got so far on that. Priceless info. Deep litter and fermenting feeds.![]()
Being an owner of a liquor store, I love when people come in looking for all the ingredients for many of the foofoo drinks. Watch out for green drinks, Scooby Doos come to mind as do the ones with Absinth. I'm partial to mojitos myself if I'm not drinking a nice glass of wine.
I love days like today. Older grand kids this morning, lunch with all grand kids & daughter, soccer game tonight, baby monitor duty & holding 3 wk old grand son tonight. Does it get much better then this? I think not! I fed Wyatt & he's in a milk coma now. I should put him down & do dishes, but why, dishes will still be there tomorrow![]()
Alabama is the same - sticky and miserable. I am headed to the beach this afternoon, I hope to catch some cool coastal breezes and maybe a Margarita!
<sigh> I just run through the sprinklers.Sounds fun..![]()
Even though we have hot summers, no beach.but like you we can go to our rivers & lakes that have trees or rocks for cliff diving..
. Love the desert..![]()
Oh, they look so sweet and comfy! It was one of those "You know, we could end up pregnant" and we're like *shrug* What the heck! Could be fun! .... What are the odds?
I need to get him to the vet.I got an IUD put in after Ms. Milly, but seeing as the first one took ONE try and the second one took TWO tries, I don't want to depend on just a little doohickey
We're out of room dangit! (actually, we were out of room two kids ago. We only have two bedrooms in this house haha)![]()
Got the boys sharing a room. Once ms. Milly is old enough we're going to have to get bunkbeds or something.

I'd be happier if she'd laid it in the nest, but instead she dug out a depression in the floor of the coop and laid it. I just picked it up and stuck it in the nest while I filled in the hole, then snapped a quick iPhone pic while it was there.
Interesting tidbit on the news today. Seems one of the roads in Yellowstone is melting from the thermal heat under it. Hope it's not time for the extra large Coke and family sized bag of salty potato chips with dip!
