Deb, sending healing and calming vibes to you.

It all started with my mild Panic attacks... Had them before so I just do what I do to cope.... I missed my window of opportunity to drive up...

Then a week before college was to start. My son had a melt down. I still cant talk about it much but with lots of hand holding and discussion... mostly on his part I talked him into not quitting College and keeping the classes he has and get an appointment with counciling at School. Sigh.... hes going to be 25 this October and having what appears to be a midlife crisis... Hes brilliant yet feels a failure because he keeps comparing himself to other students.

Hes only been in a State college a year yet hes considered a senior... A combo of culture shock too much imagination and the fact that he is hanging out with Graduate students.... working on a project for the two Major research Doctors in the department.

The only pressure he gets from me is that he do what he loves. Hes going to school on a Pell grant which require a certain grade level to be maintained. So far he has a 3.7...

Hello and Good Morning from Arkansas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a beautiful day to enjoy our bird's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a beautiful day here in San Diego... almost ten am and only 78 degrees outside in the shade... its going to be another hot one.

the last bits of gold on the hills are gone turned to deep dark chocolate brown with Decomposed granite showing where the gold used to be.

unless we get some rain... we are destined to burn again.

Hey arkansas55. I'm out of Shreveport so really close to you. Where are you from? I'm getting some SG Dorkings from Ft Smith on the 22nd. Tomorrows going to be dryer than today. Still a little rainy. My white roos are dark beige with all the mud in their coop. Can't get it dry. I'm gonna have to move it.

Panic attacks suck. I have only had one I cannot imagine what it must be like to have them regularly.

He'll figure it out, they all do eventually. Not asking for details just know I'm thinking of you both. At least you aren't putting extra pressure on him too, like most parents. (silver lining)

My oldest just started online school and even though it's the first day he is rocking it. *fingers crossed* Hopefully he can get caught up and graduate on time.

Good morning right back at ya! Actually in 7 minutes it will be afternoon here but who's watching the clock that closely? Beautiful day here in Yellowstone country - but I have a feeling that won't last long.

Deb, I wish had your strength and tenacity! I so admire you!

Thanks Blooie... Got alot on my plate right now... partially why I left that other group I belonged to.

Being able to read messages on BYC has helped me immensely... Breaking my introspection.... and getting a good laugh in has helped... helped me help him. Being brilliant doesnt mean your light can beat down the darkness... hes struggled since he had to go to school.

I wish I had been able to afford private school for him.... His life would be soooo different now.

Well, we had a guy from Home Depot out to give us a quote on new windows for the downstairs. There are over 18 that need to be upgraded.
After measuring the windows, he stepped out to his vehicle to get the catalog, I stepped outside and closed the door behind me.
Yep, locked out of the house!

OK, I am notorious for doing this.
Checked all the doors- yep, locked out.
Checked all the windows, yep, locked out.

Called hubby, where is the spare key hidden? Don't have one... I have only mentioned it to him about once a week since he changed out the doorlocks. He just never got around to doing it.
Hubby had to explain to the guys at work what happened - they've all been there. He drove half an hour home to let us in.

Guess who is headed to town to get a bunch of spare keys made?

I'm hiding one where he can't find it, 'cause he has used my spare in the past and forgot to return it to the hiding spot.

Kendra is going to be the flower girl at Little Diane and Dustin's wedding! Gonna put her in a cute little white dress with red flowers in her long, beautiful dark hair, and then put red flowers on the spokes and handle of her wheelchair. Dustin's little brother Brynner is 9 and he's the ringbearer - he's going to push Kendra's chair up the aisle to the front so she can see every thing that's going on! What a wonderful thing for Diane to think of! And it fits in perfectly with our desires for Kendra - to always be part of what's going on, never sitting on the sidelines. She's going to be disabled if we teach her that she is.....and that's not acceptable. So three cheers for a wonderfully loving cousin and her fiancé. So proud of Little Diane for thinking of this.
