The Front Porch Swing

It turned out right. I improvise and added extra eggs, melted butter and a lot of yogurt. It is fluffy and sweet. More like cake. I had it with hot chocolate. Truly decadent.

Now I would rather have this than cookies or cake. Personal preference. Sounds delish.

Let me start by saying I absolutely adore horses but.......they are the most unpredictable animals. I can not tell you the number of times that I have been seriously hurt by them. I raised Quarter horses for years, from birth to broke, and it was very rewarding. However the last quarter horse I had bucked me off and at my age I don't bounce anymore..... splat is probably a more accurate way to describe it. He was a new horse and I had decided to go out and ride him without telling anyone (stupid) and I knew better but I have been riding for countless years and thought I could handle this horse just fine. My husband came home and found the horse running wildly in the pasture with the saddle on so he came out to see what was going on and found me out cold. Sever head trauma. I was out for 7 hours and woke up in the hospital trying to figure out where I was; shoot I was trying to figure out WHO I was. The next week my loving husband sold all the full size horses on the place and brought home some miniature horses and said "If you feel the urge to ride again without telling someone just help yourself, at least if these buck you can just stand up and be okay". The tallest of these horses is 33 inches, and the stallion is only 29 inches. It's kind of like having big dogs that eat hay. The mares should start foaling in a couple of weeks. The babies weight about 10 lbs at birth.

Oh, LJ! If yer going to open a roo salon over at your place, Fat Cochin wants on the list. He says this free ranging is doing nothing for his pedicure and his leg feathers could seriously use a hot oil treatment~the paparazzi caught him lookin' a hot mess the other day and he's been going around in a face mask and sunglasses(he's a real MJ fan

...saw him dangling a chick over the porch banister the other day...
) ever since. Pencil him in?

Thank you LindaB . We look like Mutt and Jeff when we are together. He is 6'2" and I'm 5'2" high and wide.

Been together for almost 37 years. I think the key to our 37 year marriage is both of us put God first and then everything else just falls together. The first 5 years wasn't so great but then Don was saved and his whole demeanor changed. God has blessed us in so many ways and may I forever give Him praise.

I want some shaggy little ponies SO bad!

We had a pretty small Shetland when we were little. I think we got her when I was 3 o4 4. I had to reach up to pat her back at the time. But by the time we were tweenagers, my sister could stand up over her. Of course my sister hit 5'10" in about 5th grade ... That pony could buck ANYONE off. Grandpa used her to mow under the trees ... he'd stake her out under a tree until she'd cut the grass, then move her to another ... all around the farmyard. Our parents took us to see the Lipiazzner Stallions perform, and we came home and taught Honey all the tricks. There were a few years when we actually had some neighbor kids, so we got to play a little.

Absolutely! I have a soft spot for Fat Cochin. He looks like he could use some cheering up.

Try one of those pet trimmer thingys that buzz the nails right off. They're cheap. DD, the pet groomer always had to trim nails on the dogs and someone recommended these. Best purchase ever she said.

I almost bought one of those the last time we had this problem.

I could really use one on Gust. Though he is getting much better at letting me trim and file his nails without "helping." When he "helps," the trimmer gets all slippery from slobber. His version of "helping" with the grooming stuff really only works with the tooth brushing.
