This has been a good day. Enjoyed the porch chats immensely, got three loads of laundry on and off the line, vet said the lump in the ewe's udder was false pregnancy milk (never even heard of that but glad it's nothing serious), and hubby comes home from Winnipeg at 10 so he can do the night check! Good night all.

Oooh you had a Cass Ole grandaugter       Yep read all them too  along with Frog a Horse who jumped too High....   There was one about Man O War and Seabiscuit.....  from a series of books geared for 12-16 year old age range.

Wow you guys have had fun today.....
I'm not even going to get into the actor conversations because I don't know a lot of the ones named..... I'm only 28 and not good with who is who in the movies..... I do the "you know the guy who played in such and such....."
Anyway..... 30 / 33 eggs went into lock down today! I hope to have some chicks this weekend! I also have done a few loads of laundry, went to Goodwill, went to grocery store and put away groceries. They brought a load of gravel this morning and I raked out some places where it was thicker. Hubby has caught mine and the kids cold and stayed home with a fever. He now understands how I felt and why I didn't get anything done when I was sick.

Hss anyone read the thread -- Best chicken for the apocolypse ? Check out the picture of the Legacy rooster. Something about the breed just doesn't sound right to me.....no one seems to know anything about this breed but the guy that owns them. ......

Maybe a hoax? to sell eggs on ebay?

He said his Grandfather raised them for years. I don't know where but in one of the old books on google/books they talked about the Legacy. That's all I remember. So many breeds are extinct now but that doesn't mean they didn't exist. Wish I had better info. American game. I don't really know much at all about them.

LOL.... LOVe it. I bought a Bait and landing net at Walmart. I left it where the goats could nibble on it so some of the holes are a bit larger than I would like but it still caught grown chickens When I restring it I am going to use a finer mesh like yours and make it deeper so when the bird goes in the mesh will help keep them from struggling.
