The Front Porch Swing

Okay, have a few minutes between chores so I'll chime in.

Movies - easy, there's only 5 that I would sit through over and over, and in fact, HAVE!

A Walk in the Clouds
Fools Rush In
The Quiet Man
Steel Magnolias
Sommersby

That's my entire movie list. As far as movie screen hunks, you'll probably laugh, but I always thought that Jimmy Stewart was incredible...not because he had particularly gorgeous features but because he looked, well - kind, warm and real.

Deb and Lisa, love the hearing (or not hearing) stories. Ken wandered in to see what I was laughing at! Kinda reminds me of how Kenny and Jenny came to be.

Leslie, your view is gorgeous! Kinda of reminds me of when we lived in Bremerton.

Lindz, keep the hot tea and sympathy flowing - guys like that!

A warm welcome to our new Porch Sitters....no worries about outgrowing the Porch - we can always spread a few picnic blankets on the grass by the steps and never miss a giggle or a sigh.

Gonna need hatching pictures, for those of you waiting for shy little chicks to work their ways out of the shells!

I turned 36 today....I know young by some standards but old by mine, if that makes sense. I mean kids born when I was learning to drive and legally drink!!!!! Thank God for my children that keep me feeling young

Wow you guys have had fun today.....
I'm not even going to get into the actor conversations because I don't know a lot of the ones named..... I'm only 28 and not good with who is who in the movies..... I do the "you know the guy who played in such and such....."
Anyway..... 30 / 33 eggs went into lock down today! I hope to have some chicks this weekend! I also have done a few loads of laundry, went to Goodwill, went to grocery store and put away groceries. They brought a load of gravel this morning and I raked out some places where it was thicker. Hubby has caught mine and the kids cold and stayed home with a fever. He now understands how I felt and why I didn't get anything done when I was sick.

That reminds me of the time about 10 years ago I was talking to 2 twenty year olds and we were talking tv shows. One was super religious and didn't have a tv. I mentioned Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. She had no idea who I was talking about. I laughed and turned to the other and said I cant believe she didn't know who they were. She said unsmiling "I've never heard of them either".. Showed my age sharply. In case you young kids out there don't know either......they were the greatest dance team of the 30-40's. Made lots of musicals. Still no one to touch them. Still laugh when I think about it. Old!!!!

y one of the best actors that came out of Wrestling.... and he does comedy very well.... Me likey. As he makes more movies he becomes a better actor... Of course Wrestlers are used to doing over acting for their performances.

I loved a little sleeper film of his... a movie called "The Rundown"... Just an action film but its pretty danged funny. Lots of violence no sex...

I LOVED "The Rundown" I also like the other guy in it, don't know his real name but Stifler from American Pie, he is pretty dang funny!!!

I loved the Black Stallion movie. Cass Ole was a gorgeous stallion. I owned a granddaughter of his years ago....... wonderful horse, beautiful and sensible.

I also read ALL of the Black Stallion books over and over.
This horse/movie is why my fascination with Arabians started!

I asked this person to post another pic because of that. Could be legit, but something just seems a little off. However, would be really cool if it was legit and an old breed of bird. That stuff is always so neat.

That is how I used to be and why my list only has 3, each one was in a movie/show that stole my heart. Kiefer was in Young Guns, Bruce was in Moonlighting, and Mark, well sorry he was on MTV when it had videos and you could just not change the channel when he was there

This has been a good day. Enjoyed the porch chats immensely, got three loads of laundry on and off the line, vet said the lump in the ewe's udder was false pregnancy milk (never even heard of that but glad it's nothing serious), and hubby comes home from Winnipeg at 10 so he can do the night check! Good night all.

He can do the cat litter too I've decided.

When I was married the second time (1984-1994) we didn't have a TV. When I went back into the workforce, imagine my coworker's surprise when I didn't know who Tom Selleck is.
