It is beautiful here tonight. I just came back from the barn. The sky is clear and full of stars. Peepers are singing at the top of their little tiny lungs. I was taking clothes off the line this afternoon; the turkeys calling on the turkey preserve made me smile. The horses have started shedding and when they roll in the pasture they leave a big white patch of hair behind. Somebody's cat had kittens in my barn. The moma is wild! When I go in the barn she goes out the back lickety split. I have not played with the kitties since I want them to stay wild. AND my hens have finally started laying regularly! My son is coming to visit in two weeks. I haven't seen him in two years..... Life is good

Oh, Enola!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!

I've never been separated from any of my children for that long and don't know how I'd stand it!!

Life is certainly GOOD!

I thank God for bringing you and your son back together...I hope it's a long, long visit!

I love your description of your place....it sounds as peaceful as mine and maybe even more so...I have no horses, though I love them dearly. And I have no barn, though they always bring me happiness to see them, smell them, sit in one and hear all the creatures scurrying and horses whuffing.

Nah....I keep a few and they seem to like living here, so I enjoy them too.

No worries...every neighborhood has little squabbles but the good neighbors settle them and go on like nothing has happened, letting bygones be bygones. Rare is the neighborhood where folks always get along and no one ever has a tart word here or there.

"Fart words" is appropriate for that sentence also..... usually the same thing.
