Okay that's just too cute. Metaphysically brilliant, but with a little green slapping the floor icon. No idea what to make of that.

The laughter was for the irony of it all...no place this side of Heaven will we be free to shout to the Lord without offending someone on this Earth. The laughter was sardonic.

Okay, stoopid question time. Do Red Sex Links (or Red Stars, or Golden Comets, or whatever they are called) normally have green feathers coming on on their wings and tails? None of the others the same age have this - they are red and white, period. But this one is bigger, and is taking on all comers, especially Charlie!

My dads first computer stored info on an Audio Cassette drive. I forget what kind it had a green screen and an intergal keyboard.

My first computer was an 8088 built myself.... No hard drive but .... drummm rolll It had TWO 5.25 inch floppy drives..... Woo hoo I could run the Software on one AND store the file on the other..... Strictly DOS.

My second computer was a retired CAD demo computer.... No hard drive I bought a 20 meg hard drive from a coworker.... Woo Hoo now I could run DOS from the hard drive. I got really good at creating Autoexec files for specific programs that run on that one. At the time Autocad came on three or four 5.25 floppy disks.

Once Windows rolled out I had to learn how to swap autoexecs because AutoCAD didnt like shareing kernels. Meant the computer had to be rebooted in the process.

Once Windows and DOS were integrated I stopped writing any kind of autoexecs.... Or eve messing with DOS any more.

LOVED NT..... Hated Windows 3.0 learned to live with it.

Loved XP Skipped over Vista

Love 7 But I know I am going to have to give it up eventually. Unless I go over to Linux. I cant afford Apple.

Its the hardware end of computers I want to upgrade.

Bigger hard drive.... In the terabytes
More Video Memory. 4 gig isnt enough
More Cache memory. 4 gig isnt enoug
Better cooling Hopefully water cooled

When I am working I use SolidWorks, Corel Draw, Photoshop (if I have to), Microsoft office, AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop.
I use Graphics within my Solid design models for texture and presentations. That ramps up a model from 1 gig to up to 4 gig. Those sized files have to be handled through FTP.... Or an equivalent I havent done it in several years now.

But out of all that I wish SOMEONE would come up with a small window that would tell me what software is running in the back ground and what its for. Avast and Advanced System care Kind of do that.... But I feel they are running in the back ground all the time sucking up my CPU....

So I am going to my computer peeps talk to them a bit in the next few weeks and decide on the best options.

Sorry, I have NO idea what you just said. Mumbo Jumbo.

Quote: All it means is I am a computer geek and shopping for a new computer to do the stuff I need it to do. Like... actuallly ..... WORK....

The very first personal computer to come out was called simply the 8088 and it came out in 1979.... The only way I could afford one was to go through a computer store that sold you all the components and had you put it together. I think I spent a whopping 300 dollars on it. 35 years ago You could get a car for around 4000.

Does it say reep reep while the others say peep peep?

Nope, it kinda says, "Hey, toots...over here!" or "Charlie, your days here are numbered - she KNOWS you're a roo, me she ain't so sure of and as long as I keep her in the dark I avoid freezer camp!" You have to understand that this was all said in chicken and is loosely translated.

I have a question for you guys. Do any of you know how to sex Khaki Campbell ducklings? I was looking at some at TSC today. Some had a dark bean on their bill and some had a light caramel colored bean. Any idea?
