Ok so I've been collecting my kids uneaten food from then at lunch. The last week I've come into my room at the end of the day and there is a milk crate full of food in zip bags. From the cafeteria. I guess someone told the head cook that I feed the leftovers to my chickens do he sends the leftovers at the end of the day. Now, every ounce of space in my freezer is full and I have no more room. But there was another milk crate in my room today. I need more chickens to eat all this food

The swan is gorgeous! How come the only stray birds that ever end up on my property are starlings and grackles? Sheesh, I ain't living right or something. Well I do have my goldfinches, and my house finches, and my pine siskins, and my Cassin's finches, and my red polls, and of course the hummingbirds my property is famous for.....um, never mind. I'm fine. LOL



It really isn't a matter of the town "delegating" anyone to do the cleanup on Saturday. It's all volunteer, and we always have tons of people turning out to help.

I know one thing - that horse would not be yours if she didn't feel that she could depend on you to see to his needs and love him. Everything after that trust is gravy.

Okay, break is over. Time to get back out there. I wish I knew how to post a video besides youtube.....Kendra stood at my kitchen cabinet yesterday for over 3 minutes (and I didn't start timing until I finally went "DUH" and started recording) just opening and shutting the cabinet door and giggling. No one was holding her up, no mechanical support - she just stood there all alone on her two chubby little legs. Jenny says since she figured out walking in the gait trainer she's not one bit content to be down on the floor anymore.

So very, very happy for you all.
