The Front Porch Swing

Beautiful picture! God created each of us the way we are supposed to be. We should spend more time embracing what he gifted us with and less time worrying about what he gifted others with.

Here was dinner tonight, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and chives all from the garden God blessed our house with.

Why would you leave the porch?

Whether we are cool with it or not is not the issue....we love you and we don't want you to feel like you would have to leave just because someone may or may not be cool with what your family is doing or not doing. We love you and by extension, we love your daughter....she's beautiful!

Just though I'd check out your Just send this along: Powerful, nightmarish true.

Ditto.

Okay since we're on a creepy crawleys theme today apparently what would you do about this? A single paper wasp decided to set up house in the rear view mirror of my truck!

Funny thing about paper wasps... Mom is not afraid of them at all. She used to knock em down with a broom handle and dissect the nest showing the different development of the babies. I bet the chickens would love them. The adults seem to just Go Away.

heartsizedfarm: I am always happy to see a couple who are happy and in love. As long as they are devoted to each other and their union, it is cool with me.
I had a wonderful friend in middle and high school whom I have lost touch with because of narrow minded people in the small town we grew up in - especially his family. I hear that he has found his soulmate and is very happy out in California.

I never heard of broodies carrying eggs and or chicks around. The way those little babies bury themselves in the moms feathers, I can believe it. I know I have a lot to learn - good thing I have plenty of time before I get chickens.
