Yeesh. I'm sorry about your dad. That's not cool.

Why do people have kids if they can't be bothered to like them?

My Dad really likes being fed so he over compliments my food. It's unnerving. But it's also convenient cuz I like to experiment and try new things.

I quite like asparagus and it comes up early then is pretty for the rest of the year and is permanent, making it a nice addition to a garden. I like to mix it with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and grill it. It is also great in creamy soup.

He had nine of them!

But..he liked me the least of all. Poor guy. Now I'm the only one that visits him regularly and I've taken care of him now as nurse to patient. Life works out like that, doesn't it?

I wouldn't mind trying asparagus...I rather like the taste. I may plant some this spring for kicks and giggles. Going to do some intensive gardening this spring, so I don't know what I'll be throwing into empty spaces just to fill in all the gaps.

It's a quiet morning. Well except for the occasional crow from the rooster. I think it may be the calm before the storm. It is supposed to start flurrying today and then really snow tomorrow. We may actually get some snow. I have seen different totals but am hoping for a good snow. .. we have not really had one in a few years. My kids will be thrilled if they get to play in the snow!

It's a beautiful day here, 12* and the sun is out sparkling on all the icicles hanging off the roof. It's very quiet here because my rooster doesn't crow and my dog doesn't bark....blissful!

My rooster crows just when the sun is rising, and a handful of times during the day.... Not an aggravating amount, just enough so that you know he's here! LOL.... and the dogs don't bark unless something is up... (or the kids are knocking on something to aggravate them!) It is a very overcast day, so I am expecting to look out and see snow flakes any time now....

Hello!!1 Canada - Alberta (checking in!!!)

-32 last night (celcius, but pretty near the same in farenheit at that temp!!!!)

Car died just driving on the way to work. Probably some ice in the gas line.

Moving some place warmer soon! YAY!

We will be moving to Vancouver Island - somewhere - and hopefully to an acreage (5 acres or more). That's the island just north and west from Washington state. We'll be keeping our little set up here taht we started, but selling our house. We have so much family here that we will be back periodically for sure!

And I'm already planning our flock there...

I want eggs and chickens of all colours! The kids have requested some babies. And I am hoping to make a cougar proof coop and run for the chickens (and kids)!
