The Front Porch Swing

The nest is holding temps well at 100* today with only one adjustment needed to the nest to maintain temps, about an hour after sundown. The house heats up more then and I think this changes my ambient temps just enough to cause a heat in the nest too. I'm going to solve that by closing off that room at sunset so that it stays pretty chilly in there through that time frame until the temps change again.

Pic of the eggs when I turned today....two days gone, 19 days left!

Here's something freaky that happened today. A 40 foot wide by 30ish feet deep sinkhole opened up in the middle of one of the showrooms at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green KY this morning. Those sinkholes are scary! Reminds me of the poor guy that was swallowed up in one while in his bedroom. That was terrible!

They are really scary! There was a parking lot that caved in twice, in the town where I am from! I think there may have been a vehicle fall into it as well!

I've been watching these around the world and they are increasing in prevalence and some are incredibly huge! Some are just big enough to take a human down, like one recently did to a woman in her yard and a guy on a golf course. The Earth is moving....more and more.

This one today swallowed 8 Corvettes. Ain't no way I'd be working in that building!

Something I have been reading about lately is "fracking" and all the problems it is causing. Fracking causes earthquakes and no doubt it could also cause sinkholes.

(The holes remind me of Genesis 14:10)

Yep...that's going on all around us here. This is an economically poor state and, as usual, we are constantly exploited for our natural resources...and those that do it take advantage of the poor economic status and the cheap labor to make millions. First it was timber, then coal, chemicals, now gas....we are slowly being stripped and will be all the more poor for it..not to mention full of cancer.

They are opening a "cracker plant" where Dupont and GE moved out...the plant will employ many and it deals with this fracking. Dupont leaked C8 into the water tables for a 50 mi. radius for the past 60 odd years and now we will have even more chemicals here. The Ohio Valley is chemical alley and the cancer treatment centers do a booming business here.

Bee, fracking is really dangerous. It releases gases that has caused several houses to explode. And you're right, it is causing cancer and other sicknesses. I'm definitely not what would be considered a tree hugger but fracking is wrong and you are so right, the people where it is done will pay dearly - with their lives!
