That's a long time. Good job on the whining!

I wish I were better at that and getting things done via phone or email. I give up too easily.

This company is so precious and prickly that their product would have to be twice as good and cost me half as much for me to be happy to buy it. I didn't give up because they were prickly with me, and I figured I could let them enjoy their own stinky attitude a little longer if I pretended to not notice it.

Dad said he's been running the farm since 1964 and has never once before this had to beg a supplier for price info. I'm thisclose to sending them one last e-mail, this one just as snippy in tone as all of theirs, telling them how I handicap their product compared to others because of their preciousness and unpleasant communication style.

Update: I am down to one hen, Lena. DH is going to put Droopy down when he gets home. She wasn't eating today, just sitting. I picked her up (which is unusual) and had her on my lap. Her head was under my jacket for a bit. I noticed little flecks of blood on my coat. I put her down and then I noticed my shirt was red. When I checked her over she looked fine...no feathers missing or anything.

Lisa

I am so sorry Lisa.

DH is starting a new job in a month. We just sold our house, and now we are supposed togo on a house hunting trip next week... We've been checking MLS.ca (we will be on Vancouver Island), and found this this morning: http://beta.realtor.ca/propertyDetails.aspx?PropertyId=13627409

It looks amazing!!!!

Gorgeous!!!

I would like to ask for prayers for my son. He is home from Navy boot camp, he didn't get to finish due to an ankle fracture, the x-ray revealed bone abnormalities, so the service is no longer an option for him. Now he's thinking about rushing into marriage with his girlfriend, because her mother is dying of cancer and she wants her mom to see her get married before she dies. Neither one of them has a job and they are living with her parents. I just think it is not the right reason to jump into such a big commitment. Anyway, if you guys could pray that the Lord watch over him and guide him to the right decision.

Thanks,
Michelle

Quote: I will hold him in my thoughts. It's easy to make rash decisions and feeling vulnerable. On the other hand, they may be truly happy. You never know. I wish him (and her, and everyone for that matter) the best.

(Why did that turn yellow?)

I will pray! I understand rash young men...I have three of them. I also know about the disappointment of being mustered out of the military due to physical issues....it's very disappointing for them to have come all that way and do all that work to not get to finish.

All three of mine went all the way through boot camp, two couldn't maintain weight to get through further training. One came back after training and blew out a knee on his monthly camp.

They have known each other for years, but only have been dating for 7 months, 3 of which he was gone to boot camp. I just don't want them to rush into things for the wrong reasons, but it is not my decision. I will support them whatever they decide, just scares me. And he is VERY disappointed. :(

Thanks everyone for the prayers.

Got a phone call from the boyfriend of the woman whose dogs killed my chickens. He couldn't understand why we called animal control! Why couldn't we just be "neighborly". Well when it happened I offered to help them build a run for the dogs and she wasn't interested. After all, we live in the country and they should be able to run.Thats when I got animal control involved. He called me 3 times this afternoon screaming about going to court and getting the law involved. My husband called him back and again offered to help him build a run for the dogs. We told him if they built the run and kept the dogs in we would not ask for compensation for the 11chickens we lost. He couldn't quite get that there is a containment law here. We will see what happens. Sorry, I just needed to vent.

UGH! Why oh why don't people understand they have to keep their animals on their property? So frustrating.
