This little charmer is Evan. This is Katie and her little sister Kendra, taken last summer. Katie without her glasses - she hates them! LOL And our Kendra. By the way, my daughter has ducks. She has Black East Indies - lots of them, living inside her house. Yep, in her house. I posted some pictures of them on another thread here - if I knew how to link them I'd do that here so you can see what I'm talking about.

Everyone at school has heard that I have fresh eggs (didn't help that I set a gorgeous basket of multicolored eggs on the table in the lounge) and I have more orders than I have eggs. So I need more chickens and my daughter ( who is 23 and soon to move out this summer) says if I get more chickens then She will report me to the homeowners assoc. hmm she is just joking but doesn't matter. She's moving out!!!!

Ah, thank you kindly. They are looking forward to "playing farmer" this summer and helping with the chickens! Tee hee! They are going to get a workout!

Those duck pictures I mentioned are posted under "Black East Indie Ducks, page 3." You really have to see those ducks living side by side with two rock doves inside the house to believe it!

Very adorable kids!

The mud and the mess is my issue with the ducks.... we already have enough mud and muck without adding to it!

Amen! I don't know how she does it. Last year her two ducks, Chester and Emma, became the proud parents of 12 - at least I think it was 12. Might have been more. They lived in the house full time too. This year Emma had 10 more hatch out - but these guys will live outdoors as soon as her SO builds a place for them to live. It's amazing - she has several dog crates. Emma nests in the metal one and the plastic ones are for transporting them. When she claps her hands they split into groups and head into the crates. She takes them out for a romp in the grass and sun and a swim in the pond. When she's ready to bring them in she does the same thing in reverse and carries the crates inside. At night they have a room downstairs, but during the day they are upstairs with her.
