I LOVE that sink! Its a built in drainboard. That is so nifty! Like that lower butcher block area too! That's a really nice place and I'm so glad you're happy to be going there!

Hi Gldnrose ! We too are in the path of the storm. Supposed to start here Wednesday evening and last into Thursday. Weatherman says that we may be on the warm side of the storm and get rain... Here's hoping. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. Where are you located ?
lol men, do any of em notice anything? lol that's funnyI asked DH about them, he didn't even notice them when he looked at the house. He didn't notice a lot of stuff that I asked about in the pictures!
Like - what is the chicken on the wall? "what chicken?" the one under the towel, next to the sink. Click on the picture to see it larger.
Kind of a neat-o sink, hey?
Amen! I don't know how she does it. Last year her two ducks, Chester and Emma, became the proud parents of 12 - at least I think it was 12. Might have been more. They lived in the house full time too. This year Emma had 10 more hatch out - but these guys will live outdoors as soon as her SO builds a place for them to live. It's amazing - she has several dog crates. Emma nests in the metal one and the plastic ones are for transporting them. When she claps her hands they split into groups and head into the crates. She takes them out for a romp in the grass and sun and a swim in the pond. When she's ready to bring them in she does the same thing in reverse and carries the crates inside. At night they have a room downstairs, but during the day they are upstairs with her.
And the duckiepoo?
I tried to brood 12 ducklings in my house and it drove me NUTS! Keep I mind I brooded something like 50 chicks in my office all at the same time. Then 5 turkeys and 7 roosters and some absolutely awful pheasants. But ducks are different!
Wow!!! Thud!!!
I simply cannot imagine. Not in a million years. But I want more ducks SO bad ... I want Cayugas.
I promised the ducks, and myself, I will not add to that flock until I've upgraded their habitat.
Woohoo!!The power of this group is amazing! Thank you all for your support. and for helping me begin to regain my faith.
Our offer has been accepted - and baring any unforeseen problems - we are buying a house with a bunch of farm-buildings on 25 acres.
I am offering extra seating on my-soon-to-be front porch.

Congrats on the new house. It looks pretty. I have a thing for porches too!I asked DH about them, he didn't even notice them when he looked at the house. I use those cute egg baskets (plastic coated wire), and I rise them with hot water. Then I transfer each egg to the other side of the sink, and if it needs it I rub it under running hot water until it looks clean. A few eggs need spot scrubbing with a nylon scrubby. When all the eggs are "washed", I pour a very dilute solution of bleach water over them. Then they get a final rinse. then they are set on towels to dry ... then into the cartons & refrigerator they go.
