The Front Porch Swing

The power of this group is amazing! Thank you all for your support. and for helping me begin to regain my faith.
Our offer has been accepted - and baring any unforeseen problems - we are buying a house with a bunch of farm-buildings on 25 acres.
I am offering extra seating on my-soon-to-be front porch. :)
Thank the Lord, Creator of the universe, He cares for each and everyone of us! I am so extremely happy for you! 25 acres is so much room for your chicks to play.

There is an obscure Bible verse and I am paraphrasing but "We should thank the Lord for our food after we eat".

I don't mind Searsmom, I am glad you like it. P.S. Bee I tried to do what you wanted but I am really not happy with the contours of the land so to speak so here it is lol
I LOVE THIS ONE. That's my kind of woman! I need one billboard size to put up. Within the last 3 weeks I have killed 7 raccoons, 4 skunks (P U) and 2 opossums out of my barn. Sure glad my DH built a varmint poof coop for my ladies!

Hi chicken boy!! Tell me about your ducks! Do you have a big amount of land cause I've heard that ducks can get really messy.
DH talked me into getting ducks with the peepers last spring. Inside. In the same brooder. Never again. He wants more ducks this year. He has to build a place for them to brood outside because I'm not having them in the house again. The big problem was, I felt they should be able to swim at least once/week, so not only was there massive clean-out on the weekend, but daily during the week to keep the chicks dry. Nightmare. Other than that, I liked the ducks.

Congrats on the house!!!!

I always understood a fishy flavor in eggs was caused by the chickens eating onion/garlic/fish.

Hi Booie!

Darkangel, I've saved that pic. I think I'll post it outside the chicken house as you come down the drive. Can't miss it that way.

I asked DH about them, he didn't even notice them when he looked at the house. He didn't notice a lot of stuff that I asked about in the pictures!
Like - what is the chicken on the wall? "what chicken?" the one under the towel, next to the sink. Click on the picture to see it larger.
Kind of a neat-o sink, hey?

I love that sink!

You got to give your husband a break. I bet he could tell you all about the outbuildings, especially the workshop!!!

When we bought our place, it was the workshop that sold the place....sigh.....

I LOVE this kitchen! I've never seen a porcelain sink that color before....it's quirky and I love it! That chicken would be a lovely place to hang your egg basket...they must have known you were coming!

NICE stove. I like the "feel" of this kitchen..sort of old timey.
