Thank you! I've hatched a few chicks, and just got 27 on Monday. I lost one during shipping, and another one just last night, probably from Pasty butt.

Black Australorps, Buff Rocks, Egyptian Fayoumis, White Polish, W.C. Black Polish, one buff laced polish. I lost a W.C. in shipping, and a white last night. I'm hoping that I didn't lose the roos, or my breeding plan disappears. As to the assortment, it's what I call a Birthday Mix.

well, I love polish ever since I read a book called, "Our Animal Friends at Maple Hill Farm" which had Polish chickens. And I just picked the others out of the hatchery catalog.

How big of a flock do you have? I used to keep a flock of 30 but I like to keep it under 15 now...right now I'm at 9 but will be adding some meat chicks on Sunday and am hatching out a few lonely mutt chickens in an experimental incubation thingy to which I'll probably add a few feed store chicks for the company and warmth.
