Yep! Throwing out a line and hoping to get a bite....depends on how cleverly you hide the hook if you will get a bite. And some internet trolls get really, really good at hiding the hook...first they act innocent and like they are interested in the topic. They ask all sorts of questions but if you look closely those questions are very elementary...they are a lead-in to their real agenda. If you are adept at spotting trolls you can tune into their agenda pretty quickly but if you are very trusting and "just want to help" the "newbie", you can really get sucked into taking the bait.
Innocent, seemingly uninformed questions....watch for those. Watch for the shiny, pointy thing underneath...
